Classical Piano Lessons with Concert Pianist – All Levels Welcome

Classical Piano Lessons with Concert Pianist – All Levels Welcome

Hi! I’m Didac Barber, a professional concert pianist and experienced teacher from Spain, now based in the Netherlands. I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance from The Hartt School (USA) and trained at ESMUC Barcelona, studying with top international pianists like Adolf Pla and Luiz de Moura Castro. I’ve performed across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and have taught piano for over 15 years — in conservatories, private studios, and internationally online. My passion lies not only in performance but in helping students discover what they are capable of. I’m dedicated, empathetic, and patient — and I want you to enjoy your learning journey as much as I do sharing it. Each student is different, and so are my lessons. Whether you're just starting out or already preparing for auditions or performances, I’ll adapt the lesson to your goals, challenges, and musical taste. We can work, all in a way that feels personal and motivating, on: * Technique and sound production * Repertoire (classical, contemporary, film music, etc.) * Musical expression and interpretation * Performance preparation (concerts, exams, auditions) * Practice strategies and confidence-building I’m here to help you be the best pianist you can be, whether that means mastering Bach or finally playing your favorite piece with confidence. Lessons are at students home or online, and taught in English, Spanish, or Catalan, unfortunately not in Dutch for now. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I’d love to hear about your musical goals and help you reach them. Let’s make music together! — Didac 🎶

Piano lessons & music theory for beginners and intermediates /ABRSM preparations

Piano lessons & music theory for beginners and intermediates /ABRSM preparations

Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo. Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory. I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs. Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score. Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom. I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training. Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. As an educator, I am committed to the process of learning while making lessons enjoyable and constructive. Please drop me a line if you're interested. If you have any questions about the lesson, feel free to ask. I will be happy to answer all your questions! Thank you

Piano and music theory lessons for beginners and intermediate students of any age

Piano and music theory lessons for beginners and intermediate students of any age

My name is Daniil. I am a pianist and composer from Ukraine. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in composition, piano, and pedagogy at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2018 and my Master's in Music composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2020. The main power of music is in its ability to open up worlds of communication that are inaccessible otherwise. Therefore, in our lessons, we will use technical exercises, solfège, and music theory (if/when needed) to achieve the level of performance that will allow for the ultimate goal – having fun playing for or with your friends and family. Apart from working on your favorite pieces and classical repertoire, we will work on your skills of sight-reading and improvisation. We will also play pieces together, either on a piano in four hands or with me on the violin. I have almost ten years of experience teaching piano, composition, solfège, harmony and counterpoint, and music theory. Among my students were kids aiming for (and succeeding at) admission into higher music education institutions, conservatory students who needed help with their music theory and piano classes, and kids and adults who studied music in their spare time. No matter what your goal (or lack thereof) is for studying music, we will find an appropriate pace, structure, and repertoire. The classes can take place either at my house in Scheveningen or at a student's location in The Hague.

Piano lessons with experienced teacher - graduated Pianist.

Piano lessons with experienced teacher - graduated Pianist.

My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement. I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Bring Out Your Musicality: Conservatorium van Amsterdam Master's Pianist, 5+ Years Teaching All Ages and Levels

Bring Out Your Musicality: Conservatorium van Amsterdam Master's Pianist, 5+ Years Teaching All Ages and Levels

Every student's musical journey is different, and your lessons should be too. With more than 5 years of experience teaching piano to students of all levels (from complete beginners to advancing conservatory-track students and retired adults rediscovering music) lessons are built around your goals, pace and interests. Whether you're picking up the piano for the first time, preparing for conservatory entrance exams, or returning to the instrument after years away, each student finds a plan tailored to where they are and where they want to go. The first lesson is about getting to know each other: understanding your current level, your goals, and what excites you musically, so a clear and realistic plan can be built from day one. From there, practice is kept structured and achievable; with concrete, doable goals between lessons, as well as different tools and materials provided along the way. Lessons can take place at my home or, if preferred, at your own address. As a teacher, I try to stay flexible to what my students want to explore: I find pupils are often passionate about all kinds of genres, and while my own training is classical, I'm just as happy helping a student work on jazz standards and improvisation if that's what excites them, alongside more traditional repertoire. “ Not just a singing teacher, but by the way also the best vocal coach you can get hold of at this moment and in this area of the Netherlands (so take your chance...;-)). For about 3 years I had a serious problem with my vocal chords (incomplete closure) and a dislocated larynx. I started to be in contact with Stefano by chance asking him to show me some (singing) exercises additionally to my treatment at the ENT-department of Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen as well as an ongoing therapy at a professional trained speech therapist. To cut a long story short: Within a couple of lessons and dedicated exercises he succeeded in re-positioning my larynx and got rid of my incomplete vocal cords closure, meanwhile the medical specialists had decided that the only cure could possibly be an operation... As a ‘side-effect’ I am now able to sing and control my voice like I have never been able before and could never have imagined that this was possible to achieve by just some simple but individually chosen exercises and practice. Grazie! ”

“ Suzanne makes learning piano truly enjoyable. I’m a mature student with limited sight reading capabilities, little discipline and bad habits! And still she has managed to improve my playing and motivation enormously within a few lessons. I really appreciate her teaching me in English too, it helps overcome the language barrier so I can focus on learning piano. I like her teaching methodology, and her home is a comfortable environment to learn in, complete with 2 pianos so we can play along together. I really like this approach. I highly recommend Suzanne. ”

“ I am very glad that I found Tullia! She has been teaching me since February this year and it has been wonderful. I feel inspired by her passion, talent and knowledge. She adapts her lessons to whatever that day needs, depending on what I am interested in or what she thinks would be most beneficial. One week we are trying to understand a piece better by dissecting the, and the other week explains how I can use the muscles in my arms and hand to achieve specific sound. Also, and not unimportantly, it is great to be able to play on such a lovely instrument. ”
