CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. I’ve been teaching French in Taiwan in schools or online since 1999 in classroom, as well as one-on-one personal tutor. In the school I have been teaching since 2005, I teach mostly B1, B2 and C1, as well as Delf and Dalf exam preparation. I am a certified DELF-DALF examiner fro; A1 to C1, and I have been examiner several times a year since then. As you can see, a lot of experience, Whatever your level from beginner to intermediate or advanced, I’ve the experience and ability to help you realize your language learning goals. I’m a relaxed and good humored person, so you’ll find our lessons have a friendly but ambitious atmosphere (I really want to push you to be able to use practical French). My classes are mainly conducted in French. The goal is to speak only French. I’m also fluent in English and I can speak basic Chinese, so I understand the challenges that my students face when learning a new language.. Class content can be tailored to your needs, goals and interests. Previously I’ve used established textbooks, videos, news articles, novels and my own customized materials to target lessons directly towards what is best for each individual student. Trusted teacher: Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in vocal performance from the Michigan State University, and Master of Music from the world renowned New England Conservatory of music, I currently serve as Adjunct Lecturer at Baptist University, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and Chinese University. Past teaching experience also include being guest lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, voice teacher for HKAPA junior program, adjunct lecturer at Macao Polytechnics Institute and Macao University of Science and Technology. My lessons will be focus on technique in the first half and repertoire in the second half. Technique section will focus working on breathing, support in singing, resonance, extending range and improving tone quality.

I definitely do recommend Jaana. She is great tutor - nice in communication. Patient and supportive. Gives constructive feedback and recommendations. Does everything in timely manner as agreed previously - like sending homework and giving some researched by her recommendations based on your preferences (e.g. particular podcast streams). She is open to your particular needs and builds lessons around that. It is great to study with her!
