I'm a former New York City voice teacher/coach, professional singer and an award winning composer who has relocated to Berlin. I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in. I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. And I keep lessons fun so that you can both learn and progress each week AND enjoy yourself! Whether just starting out or a professional who needs help working on an audition or role, I can help you reach your goals!

In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. Feel free to leave me a message, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Singing lessons, vocal coaching for beginners. If you are a complete beginner, or you know how to sing but want to improve your technique, this is the right course for you. We can shape the course for your needs. I also share my tips and tricks when singing/performing from real life performing experience. Flexible schedule. Contact for dates and times. It is important to keep your vocal chords safe, therefore depending on your vocal exhaustion, we are more likely to give many breaks during the lessons. If we feel it being forced, we might even stop singing/ practicing but still teach you how to practice in your own time, give notes, tips and tricks for teaching. Breathing exercises are also included. I do suggest 1 hour courses, especially for complete beginners, but we can do 90 mins/ 120 mins courses as well, structured for longer period for safe singing.

How to work the voice ? Practice ? Perform ? Compose ? Interpret a song ? It's through technic but also practising songs from your favourite artists that you understand how to place your voice and sing your song and achieve your musical journey. Starting from the basics like breathing support, vocal routines, learning songs to practising stage presence, composition. In my classes, I go through all this points and focus on what the student needs and wish to learn. I had the chance to learn with the greatest Jazz singers of the New York scene. I studied, Jazz, Pop, Classical singing, which lead me to understand the voice in its full. For five years I focused on performing and touring with my different projects, and there I built my skills for the stage and being comfortable in front of a crowd.
