“Your voice is your most beautiful instrument…” “It is very difficult for our body to develop and build in a harmonious way. The history and journey of each have left their mark. As a result, we may find it difficult to sing properly and position our voice.” Singing can be learned! Singing out of tune is not inevitable. "Singing" is a vocal education through which one learns to effectively develop one's voice, have automatisms, exceed one's limits and achieve excellence in order to express one's creativity and oneself. The School Of Vocal Arts aims to provide you with all the tools necessary for your musical development. We teach and support you in a real synergy of research, creativity and innovation. We are Talent Revealers and Coaches, from an early age through to a professional career. Vocal coaching is not just a singing lesson but an in-depth research into the use of one's body (muscles, postures, breath management, emotions, etc.) in the service of the voice! The school's pedagogy is based on several years of research in vocal technique. Indeed, this unique methodology, SOVA Vocal'FiT® will allow the student to benefit from a "tailor-made" teaching, thus giving him the opportunity to express his creativity to achieve excellence. We compare the singer to a top athlete who trains with the expertise of a team to be able to perform with excellence. Physical preparation is key to becoming a complete performer. Each student benefits from a personalized program adapted to his level and his personal project. Improve your vocal technique, work on your rhythm, stage preparation, singing lessons... The coaches are, above all, artists who share their knowledge and their experiences, as well as the reality of the profession of singer, which brings to their lessons a practical dimension, appreciated by the students. They accompany you throughout your project in order to make you progress at your own pace while respecting your musical style. Each coach benefits from additional training, which allows him to integrate the SOVA Vocal'FiT® methodology, philosophy, ethics and the way the school operates. During our first meeting, a complete checkup of your voice and your project is carried out, in order to situate your level, understand and define your objectives, and target the points you wish to work on or improve. In some cases, coaching is combined with music therapy or vocal rehabilitation, through which students discover and reveal themselves. This unique coaching methodology, set up by Sabine Jacquet, founder and director of SOVA, also applies to different pathologies or disabilities, with the search for an appropriate teaching and approach. A vocal pathology is rarely irremediable! Once the pathology has been identified, voice rehabilitation, which is done in partnership with phoniatrists, speech therapists and ENT specialists, will make it possible to work in depth on psychological and bodily blockages. Voice work takes into account psychological parameters that help to fight against stress, anxieties and difficult to manage emotions. We will relearn the student to use his voice correctly and effectively develop his way of singing or expressing himself. Pushing back physical, physiological and emotional barriers is possible!! The School Of Vocal Arts is about working and revealing the secrets of your voice together!

Trusted teacher: Are you curious about singing, but feel like you don’t know where to start? Do you already have some experience of singing and are curious about what your voice could achieve at its full potential? Do you feel shy about your voice and wish you could feel confident enough to sing in front of other people? I am Olivia, a professional opera singer who is passionate about teaching singers a healthy vocal technique in all styles of singing, and helping them to grow in confidence along the way. My teaching room is a safe space where students are free to experiment, make mistakes and discover everything about their voice with my full support! I have been teaching singing privately to pupils of all ages and levels for several years, as well as enjoying a busy performance career. I find that being a regular performer myself is very important when imparting knowledge and advice to my students because I want to teach you more than just the mechanics of singing - I want to guide you towards being an artist and expressing YOUR unique voice and personality. I work on vocal technique, drama and language, and have worked with children, teenagers, and adults - both those hoping to sing professionally and enthusiastic amateurs! Every lesson will include warmups and technical exercises as well as work on repertoire that we will choose together. I can teach in English, French or Italian. As for my performance experience: I began taking singing lessons at 13 years old after joining the school choir in secondary school in London, and adored the process of training my voice. In my teens, I performed in concerts as a soloist and also in a few musical theatre roles, most notably Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. I moved to Switzerland and trained as an opera singer at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, and did a Specialised Masters (Soloist) at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. I have since gone on to perform with the opera houses of Geneva, Lausanne and Lucerne, the Opera House of Zrenjanin in Serbia, the Jeunesses Musicales Opera Studio (Croatia), London Grimeborn Festival, and have been a featured soloist at such concert venues as the Berlin Philharmonic, Salle Paderewski in Lausanne, the BFM in Geneva, the Cologne Philharmonic, and St Johns Smith Square in London. Most recently you may have seen me as Mrs P. in the Swiss première of Michael Nyman's 'The Man who mistook his Wife for a Hat' in Vevey, or if you've been enjoying the program 'Blob Opera' this year, you might be interested to know that I was one of the opera singers working on this project by recording hours of material for a machine to create an algorithm that recreating an opera singer's voice! Good singing is about solid and healthy vocal technique, a good feeling for music, self-expression and confidence! I would love to work with you to build all of these parts of yourself and to see where your voice takes you. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with me!

Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what songs they dream of playing, what style they like !!… instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we do likes (starting from learning a song to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of the music etc ...) GUITAR SIDE I am competent for: - accompany the learning of the accompaniment guitar (repertoire pop folk rock English speaking French songs of all kinds, trad music, basics of bossa and blues ...) - teach the techniques and repertoire of the classical guitar: know the different styles (baroque, renaissance, classical, traditional Hispanic and South American, contemporary and so on!), acquire dexterity, seek the sonic subtleties of instrument… - guide the little ones (from 6 years old) to discover the instrument and the music; VOICE RATING I propose : - singing lessons: whatever the repertoire targeted, become aware of your body and the vocal gesture, through vocal and body games bring more naturalness and at the same time more control with your own voice; - vocal and psycho-bodily coaching: specific training aimed at building confidence with one's own voice and expression; I also support in the preparation of concert or recording: mastery of voice and breath (!), Interpretation, pronunciation, staging; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Olga
My first lesson was great. Olga is very instinctive - she started with some basic exercises and very quickly figured out where I needed to focus most and shaped the lesson accordingly. After one hour I had made more progress than in the last couple of decades.
