Singing Lessons: ABOUT Voice / Singing Lessons are spaces for one to come into a deeper, more informed and confident relationship with singing and voice use, offering an enriching and transformative space to explore and develop as a singer. What we might explore: -Coming into an awareness of fundamental vocal anatomy : Developing awareness of the voice, its structures and its functionality as well as its relationship to the body and its systems. -Identifying one’s own ‘Attractor State’: Coming to understand as an individual the habitual tendencies of one's own voice use and the potentials and limitations of those malleable tendencies. -Becoming equipped with practical and effective tools to promote ease, resonance and efficiency while singing: Harnessing the tools of Alexander Technique and neuroscientific application to becoming empowered in practices that release tension and allow for more easeful and skillful singing. -Working Stylistically With Repertoire: in styles inc. folk, jazz, pop, soul/r&b, light opera/legit, music theater or text. This can also include becoming adept in harmonizing and exploring different theories of music. -Becoming equipped with tools for anxiety/stage fright . An offering of tools that allow the hormonal, nervous and musculo-skeletal systems to regulate during times of high stress or anxiety with using voice in a public setting. Trusted teacher: Do you wish to learn writing music from scratch or improve your composition skills without a necessity of music theory knowledge? Do you want to produce your own music but struggle with the technical aspects? I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. Please contact me if interested, then we will have a first video call where we get to meet each other and discuss where you stand and your wishes. This way I can create a personalised program that suits your level and speaks to your area of interest.

Sharon
I had an amazing experience during my first singing lesson (ever) with Sharon last week. She made me feel completely at ease and she broke down singing mechanics in a way that was easy for me as a beginner to understand. It was clear that Sharon genuinely cared about my progress and she ensured that I got the most out of our class. The environment she created for learning was very comfortable and enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to continuing my lessons with her!
