Guitarist, composer and improviser with over 25 years of experience, trained as a Musikpädagoge, I combine artistic practice with a teaching approach focused on deep musical understanding. Who the lessons are for: Intermediate and advanced musicians who want to move beyond patterns and automatisms and truly understand what they are playing. How I work: • We always start from concrete musical situations (playing, listening, improvising). • Harmony is explored through functions, tensions, modal systems, modal interchange and alterations. • Theory is treated as a practical tool, not as an abstract set of rules. • Ear training is fully integrated into the practice. • Improvisation is approached as harmonic thinking in action, with direct application to composition. Dear music lovers, I am a concert pianist and piano teacher and offer piano lessons with home visits. I think it is important to see music studies as a complex education in close relationship with other arts. Whether you are a professional or an amateur, with the diverse and deep insight into the world of classical music you will feel freer and, what's more, be able to express yourself much better. I use a mixture of the classical Russian piano school, European heritage and the individual repertoire selection that is unique for each student. For these reasons, I teach young people from about 15 years of age with no upper age limit. Give yourself the chance to spread your possibilities!

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better. I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play. When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises. I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :) I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition. My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France. Dear music lover, As an experienced and certified cellist / orchestra musician from Lisboa, Portugal, with several years of teaching, I accompany children, beginners, adults and advanced students into their musical dream and future. I adapt myself individually to the wishes and needs of my students. My focus is not only the technichs and motor skills of the instrumental playing, but always trying to convey musical relationships. I work as a freelance bassoonist in London and Berlin, and have worked with major orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Akademie and the Orchestral of the Royal Opera House, London. I graduated with a Master’s degree from Guildhall School of music and drama, London. My teaching experience is extensive. I have taught students between the ages of 3-30. I have worked 1:1 with students, and have had lots of experience with groups of up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired. My students have a 100% success rate in their exams. As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited.
