VIOLIN LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (from 3 years old) AND ADULTS, BEGINNERS AND ADVANCEDTranslate this text using Google Translate.

VIOLIN LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (from 3 years old) AND ADULTS, BEGINNERS AND ADVANCEDTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I teach violin to children and adults, beginners and advanced. Every student is unique. Besides developing good technique, I also enjoy meeting each student's musical wishes and dreams. Learning to play the violin is a collaborative process! From the very first lesson, I pay a lot of attention to playing together, because making music together is the most fun there is! In addition to individual lessons, I support my students' playing in orchestras, ensembles, and bands. There are also several opportunities to perform with the accompaniment of a professional pianist. Once a year, I organize a video recording day with several students for competitions and contests. My students have won awards, both in the Netherlands and internationally. In addition to individual lessons, I offer a "MY LITTLE VIOLIN" STROLL COURSE for children aged 3-5. This course consists of 10 lessons for young children, introducing them to music and the violin. I also offer this course to English- and German-speaking children. I teach violin in four different languages: Dutch, German, English and Italian. Violin lessons at home are also possible. About Me: I'm a violinist with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam. I've worked with numerous orchestras both in the Netherlands and abroad. I also perform chamber music and Brazilian choro (Duo Chorinho, with Alvaro Rovira Ruiz on guitar). I received international training at the conservatories of Hamburg, Rome, and Amsterdam. I have been working as a violin teacher for over 30 years, including internationally, including a masterclass for Brazilian violin students at the University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Private Music Lessons for Piano, Violin and Erhu (Chinese violin)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Private Music Lessons for Piano, Violin and Erhu (Chinese violin)Translate this text using Google Translate.

As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. For young children, I tend to use a more interactive approach to explain complicated music theories, yet strict in the fundamentals such as posture and rhythm. For adults, I am always happy to discuss with them my lesson plan and choose the best exercises and songs that suit their music interests and needs. For my students who would like to take exams, I am happy to tailor the lessons based on their progress. I believe in the quality of learning and understanding rather than the number of pieces that they learn. Many beginners and their parents have put their trusts in me and achieved distinction in their first ABRSM exam. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and a native speaker of Cantonese Chinese. I am happy to travel and travel costs will be added on the top of the standard tuition fee. *Proof of qualifications avaliable upon requests.

My name is Anna, a violin teacher from Ukraine living in Amsterdam. Music is my profession, hobby, passion, life. I think music in itself is healing. It touches us, brings different emotions, it gives us energy, joy, power. It helps to understand each other without words. Lessons: Teaching is a part of my life. I have had a great experience in Ukraine where I learned different approaches and where I got my knowledge and experience I continue to work and share it here, in the Netherlands. I find it important that my students get their results through experiencing joy during the lessons. I think that the greatest thing about music is the joy of sharing, that’s why I am also trying to teach my students to be able to share their talent, to play around, collaborate with other students making small ensembles, or just making sometimes a simple house concert. What I am offering: - Different approach - Different styles - Individual program - Possibility to play in a small ensemble (duo, trio) - Theory knowledge It will be a pleasure to meet you! I think it is one of the most important things, to find a teacher you can trust, connect to, and be inspired from. I am sure, if violin means something special for you, you are bound to do great things with it and I can help you. I hope to meet you soon at the first lesson! About me: I finished Kiev Conservatory and graduated Master of music in Rotterdam conservatory from the class of Misha Furman. Private violin lessons available for children or adults (beginners to advanced levels)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Amanda started studying the violin from age 4 with various teachers from the Sydney Conservatorium (incorporating influences from Suzuki and Alexander methods) and obtained a distinction in Licentiate of Violin Performance from the Australian Music Examination Board. In addition, she has performed in orchestral projects across Australia, Asia and Europe (including but not limited to the Australian Youth Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra Singapore and the Hong Kong Orchestra) and also enjoys curating chamber music projects as well as improvising with pop and theatre groups. Amanda works very closely with her students to design a learning approach that works for both teacher and student, depending on various factors including but not limited to the student's musical background, technique and their commitment to learning. She can guide absolute beginners (children/adults) and/or people who stopped playing for a time and would now like to reconnect with the instrument. Nothing beats the feeling of making a beautiful sound on an instrument like the violin! It's important to know if a teacher or instrument is right for you :) Amanda runs a studio/venue in Amsterdam (2 tram stops from Central) where she also conducts her lessons.

I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

Our first lesson was an exploration of the feeling of holding the viola and the bow and of playing some notes pizzicato and with the bow. Maya was enthusiastic, patient and flexible in adapting to what I could and wanted to try. Her calm approach (letting learning sink in, allowing a process of getting used to the playing and learning) made me feel very comfortable and inspired!

Aida is really nice and patient. She takes time to understand the level of her students and explains clearly how to play this such difficult instrument, and also she makes you feel confident when you hold the bow for the very first time. Looking forward for my next classes with her.
