I offer beginners' classes in piano and harpsichord for any age, and can additionally provide the basics in music theory. A passionate learner myself, I started harpsichord at age 5 and have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). My experience teaching started in New York where I taught school students piano and music theory. I am also a professional continuo player accompanying Baroque orchestras on the harpsichord, as well as a composer of experimental music. My experience in very different musical scenes gives me a unique approach to studying that allows me to adapt the content and structure of lessons according to where the student wants to develop their skills. This can include focus on exercises like scales and arpeggios; studying simple pieces from Classical, Baroque or even Pop repertoire; figured bass; body posture awareness; and trying more experimental things through free improvisation techniques! I've also found that accompanying practice with theory helps to deepen one's understanding and joy at learning this beautiful music. I really enjoy passing on my enthusiasm for music, whether the student has specific goals and needs or is simply curious to start with the basics. If you're curious don't hesitate to reach out :)

I’m at service of the student who want to learn with curiosity, starting from where they are. I don’t make difference between beginners and advanced students, for me it’s a personal project to help the person go through the process and enrich themselves through the practice of Music. I believe it’s much more about understanding than the mere practicing, that’s why it’s “a” Practice. One of the many ways to discover oneself and one’s attitudes, one’s relationship with emotions, coordination, cultures, history, narratives. Everyone has their main function and we will find that for you- may it be associative, geometric, dialogic.. the most important is that we create a space where learning is backed up by enthusiasm and safety- all the rest of technicalities, I deal with it:) Me teaching it’s a pure act of offering- I don’t need it but I love it. If it resonates with you, jump along. If you are already advanced, you bring your pieces for furthering (as a masterclass) or we start looking at it together, going to the bone of what it’s written and what’s alluded, where is symbols, where is metaphors. One can never stop to be in awe... and that is what I want everybody to be in when they play. With best of wishes for your Music making David Irimescu

Are you interested in : -learning piano or singing? -improving your piano level? -learning music theory? -practicing your pieces with an experienced pianist (correpetition)? I am the person for YOU !! My name is Bianca and I am 24 years old. Having grown up with music from my very first steps, I began learning the piano at the age of 4. My long piano studies, beginning with the Suzuki method (adapted for young children) and ending with a Master's degree at the Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique et de Danse de Paris, have forged a solid piano technique and school, enabling me to help all types of students, beginners and professionals alike! My studies at the Schola Cantorum de Paris and the CRR de Saint-Maur led to five years at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where I obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree under the direction of Claire Désert, enabling me to experiment with different schools of piano technique, in particular the Russian method. The many masterclasses I attended with internationally renowned teachers such as Tatiana Zelikman, Lilya Zilberstein and Ruben Dalibaltayan enriched my musical knowledge, which I'd now like to share with you! My passion for opera singing was born around the age of ten and has only grown with age, leading me to start my Bachelor's degree in opera singing at the Musik-Akademie Basel in 2021 in Marcel Boone's class. The invaluable advice I received from renowned teachers such as Margreet Honig, Elene Golgevit and Snezana Stamenkovic inspired me to share my enriching knowledge of vocal technique from the Bel Canto school. My aim is to build a healthy vocal technique so that your voice is free and brilliant. Don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
