Hi, I'm Aliaksandra! I'm originally from Belarus and 2 years ago I completed my Master's degree in classical cello and piano in the Netherlands. I'm 26 years old and have been playing both cello and piano since I was 8. After more than 15 years of studying and performing music, I've come to realize how much I enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge with others.I currently teach at Leerorkest Music School in Amsterdam and also offer private lessons. I teach to students of all ages and levels—whether you're a complete beginner or more advanced. Lessons can take place at my home in a centre of Amsterdam.I'm open to all musical styles and always aim to tailor my teaching to each individual student—because everyone learns differently, and everyone is unique. I study at the Musikhochschule Mannheim and at the Blackmore Academy Berlin. I have worked both as an orchestra musician with renowned orchestras such as the Hr-Symphonieorchester and the Museumsorchester Frankfurt and also as a soloist with the Geringas Chamber Orchestra. I have attended many international courses with, among others: David Geringas, Reinhard Latzko, Jan Ickert and Martti Rousi. I teach in German, Russian and English. I design the lessons according to the student's wishes. I am particularly interested in further development in order to cope with increasingly difficult tasks, for example the section leader in the orchestra. I attach great importance to literature from all stylistic epochs from baroque to modern, including popular music. I like to teach beginners according to Gabriel Koeppen's cello school, volumes 1-3 and the Suzuki method. I regularly arrange works for my students' cello sambles and, at the request of the students, music that has not yet been rewritten for cello.

String instruments are often associated with written classical music and, because of their technical complexity, many players rarely dare to move beyond the safety of the score. But improvisation is not a mysterious talent we are born with. It requires as much discipline as freedom and develops through a specific set of skills that can be understood, practiced, and ultimately transformed into performance. After more than ten years of teaching improvisation to professional string players at conservatory level, I have developed an approach that rethinks fingerboard visualization and the relationship between the ear, the hand, and the instrument, making improvisation more accessible to string players from all backgrounds. In these lessons, I will help you understand the logic of the fingerboard, transpose effortlessly in any key, and visualize the shapes of any chord, expanding its harmonic possibilities for accompaniment. I will also show you how to create effective grooves through chops and percussive techniques, while developing a melodic language that goes beyond scales and patterns. We will explore styles including Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Pop, Rock, Brazilian, and World Music. (According to the style, we can also work with loops and effects.) This class is intended for musicians with a solid technical command of their instrument who want to develop their improvisation skills, whether they are taking their first steps in improvised music or already have previous experience. The lessons will be tailored to each student. I will adapt to your learning rhythm while keeping you challenged at the same time. You will receive regular feedback, advice, guidance, and learning materials.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts. Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Currently via webcam I studied at the conservatories of Antwerp and Ghent and obtained my master's degree as a performing musician and my diploma in specific teacher training. In addition to experience as a performing musician, I am also active as a teacher of solfège and cello. I have experience as a teacher with children and adults. Studio Policy This policy is in place to protect the student, the parent of the student, and the teacher and serves to ensure that lessons run smoothly. Lessons/Payment: Students may enroll in lessons at any time. Lessons will take place at the teacher’s studio in Vienna, Austria. Online lessons are facilitated using Skype/Facetime/Zoom. Tuition is paid monthly and is calculated by multiplying the lesson rate by 4 weeks (3 or 5 weeks for certain months). Additional lessons are allowed based on the teacher’s availability. If I am traveling for a big portion of the month, I will let you know in advance, so that the tuition for that month is multiplied by the number of weeks I will be at home. Single lessons in the form of a consultation or master class are available if you are not ready to commit to a monthly package. If you have special circumstances that prevent you from taking weekly lessons or traveling to my studio, please contact me directly and I will do my best to accommodate your situation. Tuition is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the first lesson of each month. Tuition is payable through Apprentus. For the consultation/single lesson, a one-time lesson fee is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. Your timely payment serves as a confirmation of our time agreement. If I do not hear from you nor get the payment at least 24 hours before the lesson, I reserve the right to reschedule and/or cancel the scheduled lesson. Tardiness: The student will contact the teacher by phone if they expect to be late for a scheduled lesson. If a student arrives after their scheduled lesson time has begun, the teacher will complete the lesson in the remaining portion of the time slot. Additional time for student tardiness is not guaranteed. If the teacher arrives after a scheduled lesson has begun, the teacher will give additional time past the time slot to compensate for their tardiness with mutual acceptance of the student’s schedule. Rescheduling/Cancellations: Students must cancel/reschedule lessons by phone or email with at least 24-hour notice. Cancellations are considered excused for illness, family emergency, or severe weather (public school closures). Excused cancellations with sufficient notification will be given a make-up lesson within the month or lesson credit towards the following month. No-shows, cancellations without sufficient notification, or unexcused cancellations will not be given make-up lessons or lesson credits. The teacher may need to cancel a lesson due to illness or a family emergency and/or reschedule due to performance engagements or planned vacations. In this case, the teacher will provide a make-up lesson within the month or apply a lesson credit towards the following month. If desired, the make-up lesson can also be taken online via Skype. If a student cancels a re-scheduled make-up lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. If a make-up lesson is not possible, a lesson credit will be applied toward the following month. Copyright/class recordings: Lessons and seminars are considered intellectual property and may not be recorded (audio or video). The teacher is legally protected in case of a breach of this agreement. The teacher is entitled to immediate termination of the lesson/package without a refund if this rule is broken. The teacher is entitled to legal action in case of copyright infringement. Parental Involvement for younger students: I do not teach children below the age of 10 via Skype as they require hands-on work to form correct playing habits and posture. Students 10 years and younger must have a parent or guardian present at the lesson. The parent will take notes and act as the student’s “home teacher”. Parental involvement is welcomed and strongly encouraged for all students, but not required for students 10 years and older.

Hello, my name is Anna, and I’ve been playing the cello for 22 years. I have a masters degree both in performative arts and teaching cello from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. I have acquired a wide range of tools to inspire my pupils individually in their step-by-step development. I teach learners of all ages and levels, my students are 5-60 years old, from beginner to advanced. When I was 15, my cello teacher asked me to teach her younger pupils. I am most familiar with the suzuki books, however I am dedicated to making cello and music as widely available as I can, so if access to sheet music is a challenge I am open to pursuing alternate lesson plans. Cello lessons (possibly combined with cello rental) are offered; I teach in Dutch and English to both children and adults. Lessons are offered at my home in Eindhoven, and in the surrounding area, lessons can also be delivered to the student's home, with a reasonable travel allowance. Home lessons are primarily intended for children and people with limited mobility (at an additional cost/car expenses). You can also rent a cello from me to see if the instrument suits you. Rentals are only available in conjunction with lessons! Customized for every student, I match your level and interests.
