I can teach you music theory concepts ranging from fundamentals like chords, intervals, scales, and arpeggios to the more advanced: circle of fifths, modes, tensions, and triads. Regarding the technical aspect of guitar playing, I can create a good practice routine for the improvement of different styles of playing such as alternate picking, fingerpicking, legato, taping, hybrid picking, economy picking, etc. Although these concepts may sound frightening at first, I can help you understand them more easily. The lessons are thought to be suitable for beginners who never picked up a guitar before, intermediate players who know some songs and fundamentals but don't know what to do next, and advanced players who want to deepen their skills. The drummer is the backbone of any musical community, creating a vital foundation for the other instruments to thrive upon. With a wealth of exercises and content available online at your fingertips to study, I can offer you valuable, personalized advice on three key aspects: technique, time, and touch. I like to call them the 3Ts. Technique: Playing the drums is physically demanding, requiring an awareness of proper posture to safely build the muscles needed to maintain a seamless flow of movement for hours on end. Time: Keeping a steady pulse is the primary focus of being a drummer. We need to build up our confidence to consistently maintain the desired time, even under adverse conditions. Touch: While presenting steady time, we need to open our awareness to make our beat feel good. It’s an attitude. It’s about being musical. This means using dynamics and personalizing our four limbs to create our own unique groove. This is where it gets deep. I love teaching beginners. They usually can jump ahead quickly in a short time. There is no mystery. The way forward means dedicating a little (or a lot) of time daily to the drums. Even just 10 minutes a day can lead to significant improvements. That’s the secret. I recommend using an intensive approach with the classes. Beginners take 5 weeks of 60-minute classes to learn the basics and then continue working on your own, returning for follow-up “check-ups” as needed. For intermediate-level students, I recommend a 90-minute class where I present a comprehensive overview, all tailored to your immediate needs. You then come back for more when the information has been digested. For advanced-level students, the same. There is so much to cover that we can focus on very specific topics. Styles, the rudiments etc... I have a lot of experience with traditional jazz and the rudimental history behind the craft. In the end, it's about creating time to connect with the drums every day. Pablo is a great teacher! I began taking drum lessons again after a 8 year break from playing and Pablo has really helped me to get back my passion for drums while cleaning out some old bad habits. He has structured lessons which he tailors to my individual flaws and desires which is really appreciated. He's a down to earth guy, really easy to communicate (Fantastic English) with and organise lessons, even with last minute changes driven by my calendar. I really like his overall approach to drums, the tips and tricks I'm picking up from him are things you won't necessarily pick up by practising alone or reading a book/youtube etc. He focuses on reading music, different playing techniques and playing things which give you enjoyment. For someone who already plays drums and is looking to improve and have fun a long the way, I really couldn't recommend Pablo more!

I've just had my first session with George, and I can only recommend him. From the limited information he had, he came well prepared with suitable things to work on. Good paced lesson, and my mistakes were quickly identified and good tips for improvement given. Techniques that I was struggling with were really well demonstrated and explained. As someone with very little theoretical background, I find that Jean does his best to explain things in a simple and clear matter. He is patient and calm, will adapt the lessons to your level and needs, accompany the lessons with exercises and material that you can use to practice at home, .. Overall a very good experience so far.
