In 2022, I established my tutoring academy (Thehaguemaths), where I provide both group classes and personalized 1-on-1 lessons. Throughout my academic journey, I have devoted a significant amount of time to assisting fellow students and children (up to Graduate level) in mastering both basic and advanced mathematics as well as physics. My tutoring experience includes working with students from the International School of The Hague and the British school, covering various curricula like IB, EB, British (GCSE, O-level, A-level). My educational background consists of a BSc degree in double Maths and Physics, and I hold an MSc in Mathematics with an impressive CGPA of 3.91 out of 4.0. Following my studies, I briefly ran a tutoring academy before relocating to The Netherlands. In my teaching approach, I don't follow standard programs or lessons. Instead, I tailor each lesson to cater to the individual needs and interests of my students. If necessary, I provide exercises for practice at home and offer supplementary notes related to the lesson. My main focus is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of solving problems and making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I believe that when students see the fun and rewarding aspects of mathematics, they become more motivated to excel in their studies.

After many months of lessons I can say that Sobia has excellent experience in teaching & tutoring and above all has a human approach to tutoring my daughter which I think is very important. She understands that the tutoring is as much about rebuilding my daughter’s confidence, as it is about teaching her how to do math. She is also punctual, capable and reliable. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating, my daughter’s Math scores have significantly improved over the months, she is now much more comfortable with the subject and able do the work, no more panic and tears!! These things take time, it’s not overnight, but Sobia was there for my daughter and made it happen. We are so grateful!!
