I know exactly how you feel. I was a very shy and introvert being myself when I first started my path as an artist. I am here to help you on your musical journey and overcome those blockages. My mentoring sessions are open to any walks of life whether you have just started your musical journey or have been creating sounds for years. I wish to offer my experience and knowledge of being a live performer for 5 years and working with sound design and music production. I have an intuitive approach to mentoring and see myself as a creative doula (the ancient midwife), guiding you towards giving birth to your unique creations and authenticity. It can be scary to feel your own power but if we learn to tame it our sensitivity and vulnerability can become our greatest ally and help us share the gift that not only we have but also that we truly are. Just the way we tune an instrument, we can also learn how to tune our own selves and express the core of our being in the most authentic way. As an intuitive music mentor I want to share my experience with you in composing my own music and performing live with tools that help me build my creativity and open myself to expression. Composition is the art to flow with energy, the less we put control into it the more it surprises us and brings us to new territories unveiling the potential in ourselves we didn't even know existed. Because everyone is different in the way we express ourselves I have no fixed idea of how this course will be taught and I will adapt to every student's needs. I will share with you some meditation and breathing techniques to prepare yourself for live performance and give the best out of yourself. This course also applies to non-musicians and will benefit beginners as well as more advanced people.

I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC (TADA!, Brooklyn Children's Theatre, The Neighborhood Playhouse) with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in. I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance.
