Have you always dreamed of playing the cello but never taken the first step?
Are you an advanced cellist ready to refine your artistry and elevate your performance?
Or are you returning to the cello and looking for fresh motivation and structured guidance?

My lessons are tailored to your personal goals and musical journey. Whether you are a beginner, an experienced player, or rediscovering the instrument, we will work together to unlock your full potential.

You will explore the beauty of the classical cello repertoire, and if you are curious, we can also dive into alternative styles and musical genres. Technique and expression go hand in hand: we will strengthen your bow control, develop a confident and flexible left hand, and build a healthy, natural posture that allows freedom, ease, and long-term physical well-being.

My aim is not only to help you play better, but to help you play with confidence, depth, and authenticity.

I also offer coaching for chamber music groups. With extensive experience in chamber music, I guide ensembles in refining their interpretation, communication, balance, and artistic identity.

Discover the endless expressive possibilities of the cello and let the music truly speak.

About Me
Hello, my name is Laura.

I hold a Master’s degree in Classical Music from HKU Conservatory. I have experience teaching children, and I also work with adults of all levels.

As a music teacher, my main goal is to nurture a deep passion for music in my students. I believe that music is a powerful emotional language. When students truly connect with what they play, they are able to express a wide range of emotions and genuinely communicate with their audience. Without passion and emotional involvement, music loses its meaning.

At the same time, artistic expression must be supported by solid technical foundations. Developing proper technique makes playing easier, more natural, and more enjoyable. Equally important is building healthy habits from the beginning—especially correct posture and body awareness—to prevent tension and long-term physical issues.

For me, great music education is a balance between emotion and technique. In my lessons, we work on both aspects so that students can grow not only as musicians, but also as confident and expressive performers.

Hallo, mijn naam is Laura

Education
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Cello at the Conservatory of Castelló (Spain). During my studies, I participated in the Erasmus program at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EMTA) in Tallinn, Estonia. I later completed my Master’s degree at the HKU Conservatory in Utrecht.

In addition to my formal education, I have attended several lessons and masterclasses with Maria Macedo. During my Master’s studies, I also followed Alexander Technique lessons, which further enriched my understanding of body awareness and healthy posture in musical performance.

Experience / Qualifications
I have experience teaching cello and music theory to children, helping young students build both strong technical foundations and musical understanding.

As a performer, I have played in orchestras such as the Kammeroper Frankfurt, the Orchestre National des Jeunes du Luxembourg, and the Utrecht Young Symphony Orchestra. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong ensemble skills and a deep understanding of orchestral repertoire.

During my musical education, I was actively involved in various chamber music formations, including string quartets, string trios, piano trios, and other ensembles. Chamber music has played an essential role in shaping my listening skills, musical sensitivity, and collaborative approach to performance.

My name is Panagiotis and I am a guitar teacher/player. I have two bachelor degrees: Classical Guitar (Philippos Nakas Conservatory), Jazz&Pop Guitar (HKU Utrecht Conservatory). I have been teaching in music schools and giving individual lessons for the last 14 years. In 2017 I moved to Utrecht to continue my studies in jazz guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory and explore the Dutch music scene.I teach electric, acoustic, classical guitar and music theory. Besides the basic technique and theory knowledge, which Ι make sure to provide to each of my students , I individually prepare their study line, according to their taste and abilities. My goal is to help my students to find their own musicality and reveal their inner voice by giving them the most appropriate tools. Besides teaching I have two bands which I give lots of concerts with , at several venues and festivals.

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

My name is Wilma, and I have been playing the cello for most of my life. I am passionate about teaching, and have a lot of experience with it.

In my lessons, there is a good balance between technique and musicality. Knowing how to (technically) play the cello is important for being able to express yourself on it, and making beautiful music is the reason we play!

I involve my students in the process of investigating problems and experimenting with solutions. This gives people a better understanding of the challenges, and motivates them to engage with those.

It is particularly interesting that every person has a different way of learning and different needs, and I enjoy tailoring my approach to each student's personality, requirements and tastes, so she or he can optimally learn.

Above all, I love inspiring people, seeing them discover their own aptitude for music and growing as musicians. Playing the cello is a wonderful and fun experience and I heartily welcome anyone who would like to come on this adventure!

I teach in Amsterdam on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, in Zaandam in Thursdays, and in Utrecht on Saturdays.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler.
During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old.
When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts.

I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free.
Technique is also very important in the everyday life of a musician, together we can see the best exercises for you, to help you improve and have more confidence with the instrument.

We learn through passion. The more we feel we can receive learning, the more it is transmitted through passion.

I was lucky enough to have very good teachers throughout my education and now I want to pass on my knowledge to my students.

In my teaching, I want to "read" the student sitting in the room with me and conclude which of the many possibilities might work specifically for him or her.

I was trained as a classical musician and over the years I also found folk music very interesting because it connects you with the stories and traditions of a certain country or region. With this I want to say that different types of music are welcome in my lessons.

If you like music, if you like the warm sound of the cello, try a lesson and see how it goes. You're welcome.

Hello there! My name is Vasilis and I am a jazz/rock/eastern traditional and classical guitar player, singer and songwriter currently studying as a 3rd year student in the Jazz and Pop guitar department of HKU conservatory. I am coming from Greece where I graduated from my first bachelor on classical guitar and the last three years I live, study, work and play in Utrecht.

My teaching career started very early, 12 years ago when my classical guitar teacher let me teach my first student and since then I have worked in multiple music schools and in private lessons with students of every age. This year I also started giving my first band coaching group lessons.

In my lessons I try to create a learning path that is formed arround the interests and taste of each student. Since I am a singer and songwriter the lessons can also focus on the creating part of music if of course the student is interested in that. I work with empathy and sensitivity arround the needs of each student.

As for my playing career, I play with multiple bands on original songs of mine or covers in different venues and festivals in Europe. The genres differ between pop, jazz, rock, eastern traditional and blues so I can give a big variety of stylistic directions to each student.

Last but not least, I am also a singer and because of my good performance in school, I was awarded from the HKU Conservatory the oportunity to follow the vocal curriculum of the school as well. So I can help you with singing too!

Hallo allemaal!

My name is Mar and I am a 26-year-old professional pianist (with pedagogical training) graduated from the master degree in Classical Piano Performance as soloist at the Utrecht Conservatory, now studying a second master in Piano Performance in Rotterdam, Codarts.
I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won many international prizes in competitions as well as scholarships prizes.

I hope to have the pleasure that we both learn by making music together, do not hesitate to contact me!
