Cello lesson for all ages and levels (also by Skype)

For all levels, from beginners to more advanced, no matter age, just eagerness. I like to motivate my students regarding to their music tastes. Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects. I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation. I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn and enjoy so much doing it. In the meantime I was studying the degree, I taught weekly, mainly kids and teenagers, and the last two summers I was teaching in a Flute Summer Course, individual lessons and for chamber music. I have done a university course for Psychology for Musicians, which encouraged me to go deeper in this field, and currently this is the base of my teaching and my mindset for my studies and life.

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory class for 6 years, because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

I learned a lot in helping. One of these things is that children learn faster through play and/or music. As a result, I have put together a special program to give children a good start in their language skills, or to help them improve them. Before the lesson starts, we will see how far developed the child is. When I have established that, we will first spend half an hour talking words based on pictures. The last hour is music central. We will choose a song together (children's songs) and learn it together. The more progress, the more difficult (language area) the songs will become.

Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I’m a BMus Hons Scholar from The Royal Academy of Music and I’m not studying at a masters lever at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

We learn through passion. The more we feel we can receive learning, the more it is transmitted through passion. I was lucky enough to have very good teachers throughout my education and now I want to pass on my knowledge to my students. In my teaching, I want to "read" the student sitting in the room with me and conclude which of the many possibilities might work specifically for him or her. I was trained as a classical musician and over the years I also found folk music very interesting because it connects you with the stories and traditions of a certain country or region. In these lessons, you’ll be able to learn not only the basics of viola/violin playing and to read music, but how to make music and enjoy it! Hello! I am pleased to be offering piano lessons to beginner and intermediate level students! Alongside the technicalities of playing the instrument, I have a broad knowledge of different genres of music. If you are interested in writing your own music that is wonderful! I will be delighted to give you all the skills you need. We can begin with any genre of music from the first lesson. Knowledge of how to read sheet music is not necessary for beginners. I trained in piano at the TUD Conservatory of Music in Dublin, and have had many performance opportunities there and in Amsterdam. I have also been taking regular piano lessons and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam since I arrived here. I have taught piano in various different music schools and programmes in Ireland, but my main experience is from private teaching.

The lessons could work in different ways: regular lessons every one or two weeks, or just a couple of times, etc. I have had students that only wanted to learn a bit, and I also have students that have continued for some years with me .
