Student's goal-centered trumpet and general music lessons in Amsterdam

Have you always wanted to play an instrument that is extremely diverse and used in many different music styles? Have a dream to learn to play the trumpet but never knew where to go and where to start? Have you been playing in the past and now you want to pick it up again, or continue learning with a teacher?

Your situation might be described above or be something different, it doesn't matter. I'm offering high-quality, student-centered trumpet lessons with years of teaching experience. My goal is to help you to reach your goals with whatever you want to learn with the instrument, and also equip you with good instrument technique and general music theory knowledge. I have studied both classical and jazz music and played also pop, funk and other styles of music. I have recently graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In addition to trumpet playing, I'm also a singer and composer. I would be more than happy to teach you what I know from these fields of activities. I hope to see you at my lessons!

Own instrument would be great to have already, but it's possible start the lessons without and get a trumpet later with my help. I mostly teach at my own location but sometimes it might be possible to teach also at students place. My weekly schedule varies a bit every week so sometimes I might be available a bit different times than mentioned below, so please don't hesitate to suggest a time that would suit you the best!

Hello everyone!
My name is Davor, professional jazz musician and music teacher. I've been teaching for 9 years and I've met students of many different levels (from beginners to advanced), so everyone is welcome!

Besides jazz I can teach you many different styles, such as rock, blues, pop, funk, latin and brazilian music. I completed my master's degree in jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, so if you're interested, I can help you with composing, music theory, harmony and rhythm.

My concept gives you extensive knowledge and tools, so that you can continue to develop your guitar skills independently in a few months. Lessons take place at my home in Amsterdam Noord or online.

Hi, I'm Philip!
I'm a professional Bass player and teacher based in Amsterdam.
I have studied with some of the best teachers in Europe as well as famous bassists from the New York Jazz Scene. Besides my studies I have been actively performing, recording and teaching since age 16, which led me to play at different festivals and venues such as North Sea Jazz, JazzOpen Stuttgart, Bimhuis, DeDoelen Rotterdam.
I'm calm and easy going and I want to pass on the knowledge I got from my teachers as well as my own experience. I always focus on getting you ready or better at playing in a band, since that's what we do as bass players! I'm experienced in and open to a wide variety of styles, my specialization being Jazz.

HI! I am Lenart and I am currently a student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have been playing the trumpet for more than 15 years and have experience in many different music genres like Jazz, Pop, Classical, Baroque. I graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. I used to do a lot of teaching (young to old) when I was still residing in Slovenia. My desired goal as a teacher is to show you an easy and fun way to master a new skill or some new aspects of it, but not to fill your head with unnecessary things that will make your progress hard and slow.

I have studied with some of the biggest names of classical and jazz trumpet worldwide like: Omar Tomasoni, Miroslav Petkov, Reinhold Friedrich, Chris Colleti and many more.

I have been working as a singing teacher since 2011 and I'd love to pass on my knowledge and experience as a performer and songwriter to you. My name is Mathis and I am from Germany, currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I play bass/tenor trombone and tuba on a professional level (I am regularly subbing in e.g. the Metropole Orkest or the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw) as well as piano and trumpet on an advanced level. I am proficient in many styles, such as jazz or classical music. I am fluent in German, English and Dutch and C1 level in French.

My teaching is based on my experience as a percussionist, dance accompanist, teacher, composer, producer and as a designer of percussion instruments. My life is percussion: I play it, I teach it, I design percussion and I develop techniques for it.
