The lessons are mainly given in English, so you can learn and practice English as much as possible during the lesson. Don't worry about making mistakes; By making mistakes and learning from them, you even speak better. Repetition is an important part of my lessons. I often go back to check if you remember what has progressed in previous lessons. I also offer classes aimed at preparing for international English exams such as the IELTS and TOEFL. Before we meet for our lessons, I want to know your reasons for learning English. If you already have some knowledge of English, I will determine your exact level. Once I know your needs, interests and level, I can select the right materials and design the right course for you. We can work with a textbook (plus extra material) or with my own teaching materials. I use videos, slides, worksheets and other teaching materials. If you like, I can also email you exercises and resources so you can continue learning independently. If in doubt, you can always reach me via WhatsApp email. Our lessons can be online (with Zoom, Skype or a platform of your choice), or I can come to your home (in Haarlem, Velserbroek, Santpoort-Zuid, Santport-Noord, Driehuis, Beverwijk, IJmuiden or Overveen). Although currently specialized in Jazz music, I have studied various esthetics, and Pop and Rock music, in particular, are part of my background (I played in several pop-rock bands). Therefore I am able to teach a broad panel of music styles. I also have many drum methods and charts at my disposal, and have experience in teaching children from the age of 6, as well as teenagers and adults. Lessons and teaching method: I always adapt to the student's tastes and learning profiles. This is why, during the first lesson, and on a regular basis afterwards, I always take time to discuss with my students (or their parents if they are very young) to figure out together the path they want or need to follow. Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)

I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

I've had different Spanish teachers but Tanya is by far the best for several reasons: - Tanya makes a personal plan together with me which fits perfectly with my learning goals. So no unnecessary grammar but only things whichs helps me with my reason why I approached her - She developed her own personal learning style which helps me making huge steps in a short time - Tanya shows she's well prepared and the work we do and the homework I get is always in extend of the things I want to learn - Besides that she's always happy and a nice person to chat with Quick sumarry: if you want to learn Spanish in a good/fast way with a teacher who is always happy, I would highly recommend Tanya :)

I recently enrolled my daughter (Dutch native) in English lessons with this teacher and I must say, the experience has been fantastic. My daughter has learned so much in the past few weeks and it's all thanks to the teacher's fun and engaging approach to teaching. The lessons are always interactive and my daughter loves them. She looks forward to her English class every week and I can see a noticeable improvement in her language skills.
