I am offering piano and music theory lessons tailored to your needs and wishes. Perhaps you are an enthusiastic adult beginner, or you want to pick it up again after not touching the instrument for some time? Or perhaps you are looking for a teacher for your child? I have been giving music lessons for the past 9 years to students at different levels aging from 5 to 60. I understand that we all approach music in various ways and everyone needs different styles of guidance. I am looking forward to getting to know you and experiment with how I can help you along the way. Perhaps you want to play pieces from the classical repertoire? Or perhaps you want to acquire the skill of learning your favourite pop songs by ear, or learn to read lead sheets and chord symbols? Perhaps you want to learn to accompany yourself singing? Perhaps you want to learn improvisation over chord progressions? As a musician grew up with classical music training and later moved on to explore jazz and pop, I enjoy helping you to deepen your understanding about different styles and to have fun with playing! Perhaps you’ve always wanted to improve your piano technique, but get turned off by studies and scale practice? Perhaps you wish to acquire a stronger sense of rhythm or a more sophisticated control of sound? In my experience, advanced technique comes along with a tension-free body and mental space, and we can work on that together. I also find creating unique musical exercises that adapts to students’ needs makes the learning process more enjoyable. Perhaps you would love to integrate music into your daily life, but find it challenging to keep the momentum and interest in a long term? I try to structure our lessons so that students can see steady progress. I also understand that incorporating a habit can be a tricky part, so we can also develop study and practice plans together and explore ways to make your practice time more efficient. Perhaps you not only want to learn the instrument, but are also interested about the theories behind the music? Perhaps you want to learn some basic arranging skills and write for an ensemble that you play with? Perhaps you want to try composing your own music? As a composer and arranger, I would also love to share my experience on these subjects with you. Music is an enormous universe and there are always new territories to explore. I’m still a student on this journey, and I’m more than excited to share my experience and accompany you on your way!

We had our first session a few days ago, with Alessandra tutoring my 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter, developing their reading and writing in English and their mathematics. Alessandra's previous experience as a teacher certainly shines through, as she definitely seems to know how children of this age learn. She provided original and exciting activities for the kids and they found it great fun; they are looking forward to seeing her again next week. Alessandra was professional to work with and I can definitely recommend her.

I had my first Italian lesson with Davide on 24/9/21. My first impression was very good because he does a very good assessment before he starts of your level and of your goals and based on that he adopts his learning approach perfectly yo your needs. I give Davide a 5 rating after one lesson and would be very surprised if my view of him will change. On top of his ability as a teacher, he is a very nice and modest person. He knows how to drive a conversation and seems have a lot of patience! Looking forward to the next lesson!

Superb experience with Raef. I asked for his help to prepare a math assessment test with an enormous lack of basis but he accepted the challenge. I found out a nice teacher who is not afraid of explaining and repeating if necessary. I did enjoy his method with the whiteboard, it feels like you are in the same place and can interact on the same exercise. Either in English or french he will certainly be able to help you. He is super kind and flexible, I definitively recommend his services.
