Guitar lessons for children -- BEGINNERS
I am an experienced guitar tutor teaching lessons face-to-face and online. I also cater to groups. I have been a musician for over 20 years and have been teaching guitar for over 10 years, giving me a vast range of knowledge, teaching methodologies, and learning resources. This class is specific to children as it fosters a love of music and music creation via easy-to-learn and play tunes, notation reading and developing ear skills. Learning music and guitar at a young age is a wonderful way to learn a new skill which boosts confidence, teaches effort and rewards relationships, creates discipline, and helps children take pride in their achievements and performances. We will learn the fundamentals of playing the guitar, focusing on developing good techniques across both the left and right hand enabling faster growth and easier self-directed study. We will learn a selection of short tunes/melodies, chords and some sight reading. Grades are an option for those interested but my main aim is to bring the joy of guitar to the lessons! Below are a number of recent testimonials from my young students: "Ricardo has been teaching my son electric guitar for just over a year. Ricardo has not only taught my son how to play but has been an inspiring figure who has given my son a lot of confidence in himself too. The lessons are tailored to suit the child brilliantly and Ricardo has selected songs that my son wants to learn therefore keeping him very engaged and making learning the guitar so much fun! Ricardo is very encouraging and has an enthusiastic and passionate approach for music & teaching. I would highly recommend Ricardo as a great guitar teacher to anyone looking to start playing." Bryony, mother of Stan. "He’s a very nice and funny teacher and he helps me when I struggle. He makes the lessons fun and will always help you learn a song that you want to be able to play. I always look forward to seeing him." Luisa, aged 12.

Primary Level Maths Tutoring - BOOST your child's confidence with supplemental learning
Every child is different and learns differently. Sometimes, a child may benefit from one on one teaching that suits their ability and learning style which can often not be catered to in larger academic settings. I aim to offer your child a boost of morale and a love for maths, by mastering of core concepts so that they feel confident in their abilities. I am patient, calm, but firm as required to ensure that progress is made according to the child's personality and aptitude. I adapt my teaching style with short bursts of focus and concentrated learning, mini assessments, and age-appropriate concept learning with props to keep the children engaged and focused. After school classes (UK) are offered in person/online, and international students are offered online options as suit the locations and schedules. Ages 4-6 yrs (Nursery - Year 1) 6 - 9 yrs (Year 1 - Year 3) I have completed multiple Masters programs from Temple University, and the University of Cambridge and taken standardized assessments over the years with high scoring results to understand how they work. I have tutoring experience from a young age, and am well-versed with current curriculum requirements as I continue to support my own primary-aged children. Reach out to have a chat.

Sixth Form Grammar School Student Teaching Yr7-11 Computer Science.
I am passionate for helping other students, whose shoes I was once in, who may be struggling with any of these three subjects. I am a tutor who will not just be offering help in the 1 hour lesson, but at all times during the week should my students have any questions or problems. This will ensure that each lesson is a progression from the last. My lessons are for anyone from Year 7 to those about to take their GCSEs. These lessons will be for 1 hour and will be online, where I will be teaching my students any topic they specify where they are struggling on. I will then use my notes that I created during my GCSE time to create my lesson for the topic. If the student does not know what they would like to start from, we will start from the basics and build our knowledge up from there. Questions will be given in class to assess the students learning and homework will also be set online on Google Classrooms, so that any questions they have can be posted on there and I can respond to them.
