Trusted teacher: I have been a teacher of Spanish as a second language for over 25 years, most of them in my own school of Malaga, Spain. After relocating to London, I worked for different language schools. I am familiar with the structure of the English School system, the National Curriculum and the standards of Spanish for GCSE and A levels. Undergraduate and A-levels’ students benefit from my genuine interest and expertise in literature, arts, politics, cinema and philosophy.

Trusted teacher: My three main areas of expertise (not necessarily in this order): - Languages: I specialize in tutoring Italian and Spanish; my style is to keep students challenged and motivated through simple classes and practical exercises (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary).. I'm a demanding teacher but will guide you in a fun and interactive way. - Fitness / Triathlon: I coach athletes who want to get fitter and generally incorporate running/cycling into a more healthy lifestyle. I myself am a serious triathlete who has competed in several running and triathlon races (also qualifying for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii). I focus on technique elements, drills and nutritional aspects too. - Chess: I teach chess to beginners and amateurs up to ELO 1700-1800, working on the tactical and strategic aspects of openings, middle games and endgames.. "chess is life in miniature"! Please contact me if you have any interest in spending more time and energy in any of these 3 areas, and don't forget that "Mens Sana in Corpore Sano" is a good approach to look after yourself :)

This class will have in depth understanding of the content followed by some simple tasks and exam questions to complete the topic knowlede. Physics GCSE has 15 Subtopics (Edexcel) and each lesson will cover a fair amount of the course.
I like teaching the hacks and tricks to deal with GCSEs without stressing. I like keeping it simple so that you can become more comfortable with questions and being able to use it comfortably. I believe that every student is capable and just requires the knowledge gaps to be filled. That is where I will come in.

Trusted teacher: I specialise in tutoring students in KS3 and GCSE level English Literature and Language. Usually, I help with content consolidation, revision techniques and exam practice! I believe in understanding English as a subject rather than tedious memorisation of quotation analysis and will set work accordingly, keeping in mind the child's workload so as not to overwhelm.
I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-level students and I teach Mathematics at all levels and can teach GCSE science if required. My unique teaching style involves teaching students in a way that does not follow the textbook strictly, but allows students to bypass that and I offer them "cheat" alternative methods to allow them to solve questions more easily and offering suitable advice where necessary. Having done Further Maths and received A*s in all maths, while participating in other competitions, I can teach it from a former student's perspective rather than a teacher at school.
Trusted teacher: My name is Judith, I’m from Spain. I have a wealth of experience in teaching Spanish in various countries including the UK. I like to show my students that learning a language is not a burden but a blessing and a way to embrace traveling and appreciating other cultures. My studies combined with my professional experience have given me a deep knowledge about the different dynamics, materials, and strategies to enable my students to overcome any challenge that may arise when learning a foreign language. I am an enthusiastic and inspiring language teacher who loves sharing her passion for the Spanish language and culture. Teaching languages is a beautiful job because it works towards building bridges between people and cultures. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students getting to know each other through Spanish, gaining the confidence to communicate in the language and learning about Spanish or Latin American culture.
Trusted teacher: My class is focused on learning the grammar and composition of the Italian language so that you can easily use it in written and verbal communication. ONE TO ONE You come to my home or we can meet ‘on-line’ as I can offer fully Skyped facilities with webcam visual contact. You will make fast progress, not only because the lessons are intensive and tailored to your needs and as sole student, there is no one to hold you back. You will receive structured homework to increase your progress. This can account for up to 20% of overall learning. I assess and aim to cater for your needs, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced level. GROUP ‘EXAM BUSTING’ SESSIONS Several students learning together is a most effective way of bringing an added dimension to the class. Students in partnership often form a strong bond, motivating each other, and working well together. Six is my suggested maximum as it is vital to keep the tuition as intensive as possible. We practice written, listening and oral exam papers and can also iron out any grammar or vocabulary issues that are relevant to the particular exam at the appropriate level. MY APPROACH TO TUTORING I carefully assess where my students have gaps in their knowledge and then build on closing them through grammar and vocabulary. I therefore give my students the building blocks to create their own sentences in writing and speech. I work with their text books but also provide my own material to make lessons more interesting. I also use interactive material as well as focussing on past papers and oral exams to help gain confidence in the language. I engage well with all my students and make the lessons enjoyable and less like an extension of school. My conversation classes with adults are always fast-paced and fun, and my students very quickly widen their vocabulary and gain confidence in the new language.

Trusted teacher: Hello Everyone, I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and moved to the UK in 2018. At my classes I love coaching my students through talking to them about interesting topics and setting challenging tasks and ambitious goals for them. I really enjoy setting stretching targets for my students and helping them achieve their goals whether it is working abroad, moving to a Russian-speaking country or exams. The most important thing for me as a teacher is to see my students speak. When we do speaking exercises, I usually write my students’ mistakes down in order to discuss them later. This way of correcting mistakes makes my students more relaxed because they are not interrupted while they are speaking. Over the years I have developed and fine tuned my own 9 point plan to make our classes more effective. The 9 point plan includes: • Speaking the language you learn every lesson • Listening to engaging audio materials • Learning how practical grammar works and how locals use it • Expanding vocabulary every lesson • Learning correct sentence building • Reading fluently and confidently • Learning how to communicate the way that locals do • Learning to pronounce like the locals • Building confidence in all the above using discussions and role-plays
Trusted teacher: Painting is one of the greatest ways you can express yourself. Experimenting with colours, shapes, perspectives and motives, you can expand the limits of your thinking and imagination. It is all about the process of playing with colours and materials. In order to help develop your current skills, my classes are designed individually for beginners and intermediates. If you are a beginner in painting, you can expect from my classes to learn how to paint with different materials (e.g. watercolours, gouache, acrylics, pastels, oil paints) and to discover various painting techniques. The purpose of this is to get more confident when painting, so you can find the best way you want to express your ideas, but also to develop your creativity. For intermediate students, my lessons will serve as a space for further exploration of your own artistic voice by using different painting mediums. I will help you to challenge the way you approach the world around you in order to draw inspiration for your art. I hope you will enjoy the creative process of discovering yourself as a potential artist whether you are a beginner or an intermediate in painting.

I have the most experience in teaching mathematics and English at primary school level. I have taught Year 3/4, Year 6 and Year 2 classes as part of my Primary Education University course. My goal is to set high expectations at appropriate and achievable levels for students that produce effective results. I can tutor and prepare students over the summer for the 11+ Maths Exam. I currently am doing my GCSEs and I achieved a 9 in Maths in the winter mocks. I also was accepted at 6 out of the 8 secondary schools I applied for, and now study at Tiffin School. The first lesson will always be a practice paper to see what level the student is at, and what topics he/she will need to improve on. I will assign homework based on what I think are their weakest topics, while still testing their strong topics.

Trusted teacher: I have been an independent tutor for just over 6 years now. I recognise the strength behind developing my student's own academic interests and aim to kindle these interests by engaging them in a way that suits them. As well as bolstering my student's knowledge of their subject content, I develop students' time management and general exam technique, as these factors are vital in securing top grades. I have experience tutoring students from primary school age through to GCSEs and A Levels. I have helped students pass 11+ and 13+ exams, securing places in selective schools and have also helped students to surpass their predicted grades; achieving 100% A* - B and more recently, 100% 9-7 results. I have worked as an SEN Learning Support Assistant in a comprehensive school and with this experience, I am also suited to work with children facing a wide range of barriers to learning and ensure that they reach their full potential.
