A singing class for children is very different from a class for adults. For example, with younger children, we do more vocal exploration and movement, to ensure that they build a love for music and to protect their voice. With adults looking to audition for semi-professional to professional jobs, we work on building a practical practice plan for your own vocal gym. For vocational adult amateurs, we may work on more songs than vocal exercises. All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome! Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student: SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing. SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style. My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes. SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons) Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.) SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults) In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education. MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons) Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it. I have been focus in looking better ways to start teaching them in order to keep them motivated them. I am member of the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds and member of the ‘’Stift International Festival” in the Het Stift directed by Daniel Rowland. I have good experience of the violin lessons giving from 2020. Got my primarily education with Nely Sarkisjan at Emils Darzins School of Music in Riga, then studied in Moscow at Gnessin School of Music with Alexey Lundin after graduating college in 2021 got the diploma as an Artist and children teacher. And then after got same teaching experience in Riga until 2022. Now I am studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with prof. Ilya Grubert and at Davidsbundler Academie with prof. Daniel Rowland. I am offering lessons for beginners, advanced musicians and amateurs with no age limit. My mission is to help people to begin love the music and avoid bad body positioning for prevention heath harm. I am looking forward to all my students to make a personal program of the developing their skills as a concerting solo, chamber music violinist. Also online lessons via Zoom are available.

Throughout my academic journey, I have devoted a significant amount of time to assisting fellow students and children (up to Graduate level) in mastering both basic and advanced mathematics as well as physics. My tutoring experience includes working with students from the International School of The Hague and the British school, covering various curricula like IB, EB, British (GCSE, O-level, A-level). My educational background consists of a BSc degree in double Maths and Physics, and I hold an MSc in Mathematics with an impressive CGPA of 3.91 out of 4.0. Following my studies, I briefly ran a tutoring academy before relocating to The Netherlands. In my teaching approach, I don't follow standard programs or lessons. Instead, I tailor each lesson to cater to the individual needs and interests of my students. If necessary, I provide exercises for practice at home and offer supplementary notes related to the lesson. My main focus is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of solving problems and making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. After many months of lessons I can say that Sobia has excellent experience in teaching & tutoring and above all has a human approach to tutoring my daughter which I think is very important. She understands that the tutoring is as much about rebuilding my daughter’s confidence, as it is about teaching her how to do math. She is also punctual, capable and reliable. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating, my daughter’s Math scores have significantly improved over the months, she is now much more comfortable with the subject and able do the work, no more panic and tears!! These things take time, it’s not overnight, but Sobia was there for my daughter and made it happen. We are so grateful!!
