Trusted teacher: I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. For example, in the last year my students have achieved highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in various competitions. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio and look forward to meeting new students.

I have been taking private lessons from Joao for more than 6 months and I am completely thrilled with it! Although I am a beginner in piano, I can see that Joao is very knowledgeable in his field. What I like most is that he utilizes technology very effectively to help me understand tricky theoretical concepts. He also prepares tailored exercises for me, which makes me feel very valued. He really puts his time in preparing homeworks and supplementary documents even before and after the class to be sure that I understand what he is teaching. Joao is also quite responsive. He is very flexible in terms of the course content and willing to adapt to my changing needs over time. Still, as a teacher, he keeps in mind what foundations I need to build and he does not lose track of what I want as an ultimate goal, so he comes with a structured curriculum that I realize over time. I can only recommend Joao if you are looking for a dedicated piano teacher who loves what he does.

I've been doing piano lessons with Giorgia for three months now. I really enjoy her lessons and look forward to them each week! I started as a complete beginner and keep learning a lot in each lesson. My confidence and ability are definitely growing as I learn to play and understand more. Giorgia's lessons have a very nice mix of theory, technique, and of course a lot of piano playing too. She is very knowledgeable and great at answering and explaining any questions that I have. Also, in each lesson, Giorgia provides helpful exercises to practice during the week. Before taking lessons with Giorgia, I would practice 1 or 2 times a week. Now with the exercises and guidance from each lesson, I know exactly what to practice to improve and find it much easier to practice each day. I would highly recommend lessons with Giorgia! I very much enjoy and feel comfortable learning in Giorgia's lessons, and I am excited to keep learning with her!
