Here, I had the chance to really develop my teaching craft, working with many different students, each with their own needs and reasons for learning Portuguese. I had the opportunity to teach both European and Brazilian Portuguese to individual and group classes. In addition to this work, I also provided private lessons to some students who needed preparation before moving to Brazil or Portugal. In my classes, we set personal goals, and I help you with all the knowledge and experience I have. My lessons are balanced with a good amount of conversation practice, grammar and exercises. Trusted teacher: I will be happy to start or deepen with you the learning of the recorder or the transverse flute. Like Obélix, I fell into the pot when I was little: my father is a pianist and my mother a music teacher. I started early musical awareness and recorder lessons at the Waterloo academy. At 8 years old, a single instrument was no longer enough for me and I started playing the transverse flute. I obtained my Bachelor's degree with distinction in Brussels and then left for an enriching Erasmus year in Weimar in Germany. I finished my course in recorder at Lemmens with Bart Spanhove, where I studied 4 years in musical humanity. I am currently in master 2 for the transverse flute at the imep with Denis-Pierre Gustin. Since entering the conservatory in 2016, I started giving lessons alongside my studies. I taught musical awareness in schools in Waterloo, I also gave recorder and transverse flute lessons in Lembeek in addition to leading several instrumental groups. Since September 2022 I have been teaching at the Apko academy and in Berchem-Saint-Agathe. I don't have a favorite methodology other than the "positive attitude". I have given many lessons with very different students and with equally different expectations, I adapt as best as possible to your wishes and your situation, hoping to give enriching and fulfilling lessons. Having many children students, I created my own recorder method, for the most advanced, I am currently working on creating a technical exercise book. I teach in sessions of one hour or 1/2 hour for the youngest. All ages are welcome as well as all levels and styles. I hope to see you very soon to share my passion with you.

I have taught over 40 students in all genres, classical, musical theatre, and pop, and have successfully prepared them for ABRSM and Trinity exams. I believe that singing is innate to all of us, and if you can speak, you can sing! My class structure depends on your goals and starting point. During your lesson, we will explore your vocal profile and your goals, and I will show some of the vocal exercises that may help you. You can also bring a song you like, and we can work on the vocal technique, text, and facial or body expression. You can then decide if we are a good fit for one another. A singing class for children is very different from a class for adults. For example, with younger children, we do more vocal exploration and movement, to ensure that they build a love for music and to protect their voice. With adults looking to audition for semi-professional to professional jobs, we work on building a practical practice plan for your own vocal gym. For vocational adult amateurs, we may work on more songs than vocal exercises. I have a Master of Music in Singing (Classical) at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, and previously graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. I've received training in contemporary pop singing style with Meredith Colby's Neuro-Vocal Method, and also believe in the body-based Alexander Technique method of posture alignment. I regularly go for voice teacher training to make sure I stay updated with factual, anatomy-based methods. Students say that I bring a high energy, productive structure, and a personable atmosphere to every class!

Amazing tutor who really listens and answers fast whenever I have any concerns or questions. Estella is a very positive, always happy teacher. Even though my son has been having on-line lessons with her, we can always feel her positive attitude during the lessons. She is very patient, gives lots of important tips and feedback, which has been helping him to guide his learning, improving in every aspect of it. We can see how much she care about the whole learning experience. It’s been very useful to expend his time while at home doing the lessons. He has been practicing more and has been feeling more motivated since he started the lessons with her. We definitely recommend her as a Saxophone teacher!

I really enjoy the lessons from Mahmoud. He has a very good eye and ear for the details of the classical pieces I try to play. He detects my misstaken and shows me how to playnitvright. With his knowledge and experience he helps me to improve my technical abilities. Apart from that he also helps me to understanding the musicality of the music which makes the playing all the more fun.
