I'm offering singing lessons for all levels and ages. Together we will explore your voice and build a healthy vocal technique. Hi, my name is Eva. I'm a classically trained singer with a bachelor's degree in singing from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I love to learn and research about voice. In my lessons, I pay attention to vocal technique (breath, phonation, resonance, articulation) and body movement. Our whole body is our instrument, so I like to incorporate exercises from different sources like Tao Face Yoga, Yoga, Qigong etc. Structure and consistency are important, but on the other hand, singing is also all about playfulness and spontaneity. So I try to keep that balance in the lesson. But the most important to me is that I create a warm and safe environment where students feel safe to open up and dare to express, feel, and explore their voices. Our voice is not only a tool to express, but have also positive effects on our hormones and nervous system. So singing is not only fun but also good for you! I have been exploring and studying (my) voice for over 10 years. I attended many masterclasses and training sessions focused on breathing, vocal technique, acting, stage presence, and more, giving me a broad knowledge and understanding of the voice.

Dhrupad is a sophisticated art form of Indian Classical music. At the core of this music lies the practice of Kharaj, which involves early morning vocal exercises. This practice effectively strengthens the vocal cords. In addition to this, the main lessons will encompass the practice of Sargam in Ragas like Yaman or Bhairav, followed by Alap and composition practices.

I am a recorder and classical singing student at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. I have experience with teaching the recorder to students aged 4 to 60 years old. My lessons are characterized by a relaxed atmosphere and I find it important to listen to the wishes of my students and adapt my lessons to their personal needs. For the younger students, I aim to teach a combination of recorder technique and posture, music theory and singing and stimulate their creativity in a playfull way. Hello! I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer, currently actively performing in the contemporary field :) On top of my artistic career, which is now 20+ years old, I have 10 years of solid everyday experience in the musical teaching field, with particular regards for online teaching. My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. I love working with kids, and it warms my heart to think of how many little faces I have already had the privilege of meeting thanks to this career. I have helped so many access to the children choirs of their respective cities, and with so many many others I have simply participated in their musical learning journey, which makes me equally proud and happy. Teaching adults is a completely different matter, of course, but it’s probably even more thrilling to me because it allows me to spend the day navigating the fascinating routes of lyrical singing technique. I know how opera studies can be confusing - to say the least; I try my best to represent a safe place for anybody who wants to explore this ancient form of art, as well as to clarify its key points and guide my students to building a correct repertoire.
