In a very calm and friendly environment, the classes are organized and planned according to the students goals/wishes. I can teach you about harmony, how to construct and play melodies and whatever interest in music you might have. While improving the piano technique, I will make sure the student enjoys the lesson and has a sense of improvement every week.

I teach basic piano and music theory. If you want to learn how to play piano or get familiar with music analysis/solfege, I will be glad to help you out. Currently, I'm in my second year at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. As well, I have studied music production in college before.

Became a teacher in 1998 and since then I've been playing and teaching rock, blues, funk, soul, jazz and bossa nova. Graduated at the Concordia University Specialization in Jazz Studies, I work as a producer and composer and am currently playing with The Freddie James Project band and two other original projects.

For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice.
