Photography, camera and light technology, beginner and advanced.Translate this text using Google Translate.

As an experienced teacher I teach photography and image editing. I learn camera technology, work with compact and studio flash units and work out concepts and my own style. I teach beginners, experienced photographers and professionals. I help companies set up and set up a photo studio and train staff to become a professional photographer. We make a suitable lesson program depending on your experience and wishes. We also have a number of courses in which we teach you the basic techniques of photography. We work with supportive beamer presentations and readers in which the treated lesson components are clearly described. Below are a few examples of these courses: Photography with your Smartphone Would you like to learn more about photography with your Smartphone, Tablet or Compact Camera, then this is your chance. In this introduction course we cover the various institutions in 3 hours to take even better photos. We practice the different techniques during the lesson and discuss the results. In addition to technology, we are also talking about the composition, atmosphere and content of your photos. You learn how to make beautiful portraits and how you can best photograph a landscape. You learn how to control the color and brightness of your photo. We look at Apps to further expand the capabilities of your SmartPhone or Tablet and to edit, archive and share your photos with others. Basic Photography Course In this course you will learn the most important techniques of the digital camera. We cover the shutter speed, the aperture, and the ISO setting. We work with motion blur and the focusing system. You learn to adjust the brightness and color of your photo and you assess the photos using the histogram and high light indicator. You learn the difference between JPG and RAW and how to set the correct amount of pixels. We import the photos on the computer and organize, edit and save the results. We discuss photo printing via the photo shop or website. We practice the different techniques during the lesson and discuss the results. In addition to technology, we are also talking about the composition, atmosphere and content of your photos. Portrait photography In this course you learn the different aspects of portrait photography. We work with existing light and learn how you can beautifully illuminate a model in the studio with artificial light. You learn to set a good white balance and to choose the best position and objective. You will of course learn to look closely at the composition and directing your model. Because even photos that look spontaneous at first sight often require direction from the photographer. In the reader that comes with the course, the various techniques of photography and image editing are clearly described so that you can get started with this at home. Product photography In this course you learn to photograph objects. For example your own artworks for your presentation folder or products for your own web store. You learn to set a good white balance and to choose the best position and objective. For example, you learn how to illuminate jewelry and other 3D objects so that they are beautifully spatially added. We also handle the reproduction of paintings and drawings. In principle we work with artificial light in the studio, but you also learn how you can achieve a very good result without expensive studio lighting. We import, organize and edit JPG and Raw files. We discuss the need for color management, the different file formats and the printing of photos Working with flash units In this course you will learn how to take beautiful pictures with a flash. We work with the built-in flash, compact flash units and studio flash units. You learn the influence of aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed when working with a flash. With fill-in flashes we mix existing light and flash light. You learn to adjust the shade and color of the light. We work with various tools to improve the flash. You learn to work with exposure compensation, slow sync, second shutter curtain and the Master and Slave function. We practice the different techniques during the lesson and discuss the results. The technique is described in detail in the reader.

Play the clarinet with Joy : tell your story through art and musicTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learn, Create, and Perform with Poppie-Joy (SOON : LESSONS IN DUTCH) With a background melting classical and contemporary clarinet performance, to theatrical movement, masks, and storytelling, I bring a fresh approach to music education. My experience includes leading creative workshops for children through the Philharmonie de Paris and developing artistic projects for young audiences. In my classes, we explore sound as character, rhythm as movement, and performance as story. For me, the body is the key to learning : I guide students to develop their body awareness as part of learning, an approach often missing from traditional lessons. We will explore: Clarinet technique Musical interpretation Improvisation and creativity exercises Stage presence, movement, and breathing Connecting music to visual or theatrical elements Bonus (if possible and committed!) :programming small performances for families, social gatherings, or cultural events My teaching philosophy: Music is not only notes on a page, it’s a living art that connects body, breath, and imagination. I meet each student where they are, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and authentic expression. Open to all ages and levels, from beginners discovering their first notes to advanced players seeking to deepen their artistry.

Personal Guidance and Preparation for Art Academy Admission / or Assistance with Grant ApplicationsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Personal Guidance and Preparation for Art Academy Admission / or Assistance with Grant ApplicationsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hi! I'm Naomi, a visual artist, curator, and art educator (courses and workshops) with a focus on painting and drawing. You can find my art and more information about my practice at 'www.naomimakkelie.nl'. As an experienced artist and art educator in the form of Painting Workshops at Treehouse NDSM, I offer a unique approach to art education. My background in art studies at HKU, a year of Psychology at UvA, and the rich teaching experiences of my family form the foundation of my teaching method. I possess an in-depth knowledge of contemporary painting and techniques, far removed from the conventional painting courses that often limit themselves to replicating models or still lifes. I am eager to share these modern insights to prepare you for a future in the current art world, which is a crucial part of the admission process to art academies. In my career, I have explored the power of personal expression through art, both in my own work and in guiding aspiring artists. My experience ranges from conducting workshops at Treehouse NDSM to developing my own Art Practice, where I exhibit and display my work, and of course, spend a significant amount of time creating my art. However, there's so much more involved, which many art academies unfortunately don't pay much attention to, such as promoting your work through Social Media, your Website, and applications for prizes and grants. I won the Buning Brongers Prize in 2018, and was nominated that same year for the Royal Prize for Modern Painting and the Dooyewaard Stipendium. I can also guide you in applying for grants, prizes, and other types of applications, help you write Artist Statements and Project Plans (for grants), and of course, with the writing part of the application to art academies. I can also provide information more focused on the art practice, building your own business. In today's times, this gives many self-taught artists the opportunity to set up an art practice through the internet and entrepreneurial skills, with an online shop selling (limited-edition or open-edition) prints of their paintings or drawings, and amazingly, many artists are able to earn a decent income this way, with some going viral on platforms like Instagram and suddenly becoming world-famous. This is not something that happens quickly or often, but it does represent a significant shift in the Contemporary Art World, which previously was much harder to establish your own business and art practice, making the artist much more dependent on representation by a Gallery. My lessons focus on (re)discovering the joy of making art. I believe that every individual has a unique creative process, and that in art, there is no right or wrong. With my extensive knowledge of people, I can tailor guidance and coaching to meet the needs and interests of each student. Whether it's about building an impressive portfolio, exploring pre-courses, or navigating the choices of art academies and directions, I'm ready to share my expertise. Also, having studied at various Academies in the Netherlands (KABK, HKU, and Frank Mohr Institute (Master of Fine Arts) but also being admitted to the foundation year of Rietveld, which I chose not to pursue, I can explain exactly what the different expectations are of each Academy, which can vary considerably. Each Academy has its own approach and philosophy. In my workshops and personal coaching sessions, you'll learn not only the essential skills of the trade but also how to further develop your own style. This includes professionally stretching canvases and applying contemporary painting techniques that are essential for successful admission to the art academy. I am a professional painter and draughtsman, but can guide you in almost any medium and material. Located in the bright and inspiring studio at Treehouse NDSM, or on location in Amsterdam (with a possible travel expense reimbursement outside Amsterdam), I offer an environment where creativity and individual expression are central. Are you ready to elevate your artistic skills, rediscover the joy of art creation, build a portfolio for admission to an art academy, and prepare for the admission process to greatly increase your chances of being admitted? I can also explore with the student which Academy best suits him/her, having experience with multiple academies, I can look together with the student at what best fits them, and provide enough information about what it's like at an art academy to reduce the chance of dropping out early due to a 'wrong picture' of what it's like at an academy. For more information, contact me about my offerings and how I can support you in your unique creative development and discovering where your talents lie!

TouchDesigner for Musicians: Build Audio-Reactive Visuals for Live PerformanceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

TouchDesigner for Musicians: Build Audio-Reactive Visuals for Live PerformanceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

You make music. You perform live. But your visuals are an afterthought — a YouTube loop, a static backdrop, or nothing at all. This class teaches you to build real-time visuals that react to your actual audio, in sync, live on stage. We use TouchDesigner — the industry tool behind installations at Sónar, ADE, and major touring acts — but we approach it entirely from the musician's side. No graphic design background needed. No prior coding required. I've been performing live electronic music in Amsterdam for years, combining biofeedback signals, Ableton Live, and TouchDesigner into a single unified performance system. I'll teach you the workflow I actually use. What you'll learn: How TouchDesigner thinks (nodes, networks, signal flow) — from zero Connecting Ableton Live to TouchDesigner via OSC/MIDI so your visuals respond to your music in real time Building your first audio-reactive patch: beat detection, frequency bands, amplitude mapping Controlling visual parameters with gestures, MIDI controllers, or your instrument Structuring a full performance patch you can actually take to a show Who this is for: Electronic musicians, DJs, live performers, and producers who want to stop separating their sound from their visuals. Also great for VJs who want to work more closely with musicians. Taught in: English (Dutch available) Format: 1-on-1, fully hands-on, we work on your actual setup from session one You'll need: A laptop with TouchDesigner installed (free license available), and Ableton Live or any DAW with MIDI/OSC output

Spanish, Swedish and English tutor for children, incorporating fun elements to help with learning.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I am a native Swedish, Spanish and English speaker and provide tutoring in all those languages. During the tutoring sessions the student and I will look for ways of learning that works best for them, so they can be as engaged and retain as much new knowledge as possible. This comes from listening to the student and seeing their strengths and areas where more support is needed. The key in my teaching is to make it fun. I am engaged and motivated with my students, and want to help them see the fun and value in what they are doing. Lessons are customised to the learning needs of your child. Whether that be learning English, Swedish or Spanish for the first time or practicing improvement of speaking, reading, comprehension, pronunciation, listening, writing, grammar, etc. Lessons can also be aimed towards learning a topic such as food, animals, sports, emotions, and more. For children who are fluent in one of these languages, tutoring can be given to further excel in particular areas. Specific subjects that interest the student can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge within this topic. Depending on the students age, lesson duration can be adjusted. I also do lessons for siblings. My aim is to create a positive and enjoyable learning environment for my students. Education: I have ample experience working with kids as I worked at a YMCA summer camp in Sweden for many summers, supervising a group of 10-12 kids around the clock for 4 weeks, joining/monitoring them on their group activities/classes, as well as everything else logistically around them. I also have a genuine interest in child development and pedagogy as a whole. I have a bachelors degree in Social Psychology and one in Media and Communications from Uppsala University in Sweden.

I want to start off by saying a huge thank you to Sacha! I am a Master student who needed academic support for a statistics course in February and although I have always lacked confidence in math, Sacha made me feel as if i had the foundation and ability to not only pass the course but also succeed in writing the results section of my Thesis paper. She was always very flexible in her availability, and was able to meet several times per week, which for me, was very beneficial. Other than that, Sacha was approachable, friendly and a great tutor. I appreciate all the support and definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to grow as an academic :)

Excellent teaching skills. I had booked private lessons and Ton tailored every session exactly to my needs, and added even more. Beside photography, we discussed day-to-day technical topics such as back-up, storage, organising images, etc. You can see that Ton is used to being in a classroom - very structured and content focused. Excellent communication, always on time and also flexible to reschedule if needed. I will be back with more questions!

Khatchik has a fantastic approach, to the point, no-nosense, and at the same time making the lesson enjoyable. He can ‘read’ by the student’s reaction whether the information registers or not, which is a great asset especially for introvert kids or those who don’t feel confident to ask the question.
