Trusted teacher: Hi! I’m Didac Barber, a professional concert pianist and experienced teacher from Spain, now based in the Netherlands. I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance from The Hartt School (USA) and trained at ESMUC Barcelona, studying with top international pianists like Adolf Pla and Luiz de Moura Castro. I’ve performed across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and have taught piano for over 15 years — in conservatories, private studios, and internationally online. My passion lies not only in performance but in helping students discover what they are capable of. I’m dedicated, empathetic, and patient — and I want you to enjoy your learning journey as much as I do sharing it. Each student is different, and so are my lessons. Whether you're just starting out or already preparing for auditions or performances, I’ll adapt the lesson to your goals, challenges, and musical taste. We can work, all in a way that feels personal and motivating, on: * Technique and sound production * Repertoire (classical, contemporary, film music, etc.) * Musical expression and interpretation * Performance preparation (concerts, exams, auditions) * Practice strategies and confidence-building I’m here to help you be the best pianist you can be, whether that means mastering Bach or finally playing your favorite piece with confidence. Lessons are at students home or online, and taught in English, Spanish, or Catalan, unfortunately not in Dutch for now. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I’d love to hear about your musical goals and help you reach them. Let’s make music together! — Didac 🎶

Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

Trusted teacher: ➤ Being a good manager is also being a good communicator. After all, a strategy can only be put into practice if you show yourself capable of interacting with your employees, of being a source of inspiration for them and of listening to their concerns. Unfortunately, not all managers naturally excel in this role and their difficulties in asserting themselves as true leaders is often attributable to their difficulties in communicating. ➤ The objective would then be to explore together the areas of improvement in terms of communication know-how. And managing effectively requires specific and cutting-edge know-how. ➤ In fact, managerial communication corresponds to the interactions between the management of the company and the organization and more specifically, between the manager and his team. This manager is in charge of transmitting information and directives coming from higher hierarchical levels, supporting internal communication, distilling messages related to his own management to obtain the commitment of his team, all while transmitting a message effectively. ➤ This exercise can therefore be tricky: this is why it is important to choose the right mediator in order to be well supported, not only to be understood by those around him, but also to carry out his mission. ➤ What to communicate? When ? Whose ? These questions will find an answer in the consistency of the actions undertaken. Good managerial communication will thus aim to exchange / dialogue effectively with its employees, maintain a close link between the different layers of the company, bring human relations back to the heart of the company, establish a climate of trust and good team cohesion, motivate by inspiring. ➤ In short, each session combines techniques & practice exercises adapted to your everyday situations (filmed with your agreement in order to be reviewed, commented on, decoded together live), so that you can put them into practice immediately, and this from the 1st session. Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 or 3 sessions*. (*study 2022). ➤ THE TRAINER: Trained in Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League university in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has been working for more than 15 years, in Europe and North America, in the field of communication , in reputable international public and private establishments, intervening in forums and conferences, and oriented on two axes: training and coaching, with pedagogy and careful methodology as key words. ➤ PLACE, TIMETABLE, PRICES ✓ Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Fribourg-Zurich-Neuchâtel-Lugano-Montreux-Basel-Neuchâtel-Bern-Lucerne-Brussels-Luxembourg-Paris-Lyon. But currently, these sessions continue to be offered by videoconference in the current context and in accordance with general demand which is almost unanimous on this subject. ✓ Indeed, apart from the classic advantages of videoconferencing (time saving related to travel & their unforeseen events, eco-responsibility, increased schedule flexibility, etc.), the quality of the session & the interaction remain identical. In addition, the entire exchange, notes and recommendations are immediately transcribed on the dedicated chat. ✓ To support us among ourselves & to be pleasant to you in this sustainable / particular period and in a spirit of solidarity, the fees are temporarily reduced and will not increase after the start of our sessions. ✓ Languages: French/English. ✓ The progress following these private sessions is perceptible from 1 to 2 sessions (*2024 study). ✓ As other people do regularly, you can also please your loved ones by offering gift vouchers available all year round. Trusted teacher: Lesson: Electrochemistry Duration: 60 minutes Grade Level: Advanced Science / Chemistry (IGCSE, A Level, IB) Main Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students should be able to: 1. Define electrochemistry and explain its importance. 2. Describe the difference between electrolytic and galvanic (voltaic) cells. 3. Write half-reactions and overall cell reactions. 4. Calculate standard electrode potentials and predict the direction of electron flow. 5. Understand practical applications of electrochemistry in everyday life. Lesson Outline / Brief Notes: 1. Introduction to Electrochemistry (10 minutes) Definition: Electrochemistry is the branch of chemistry that deals with the relationship between chemical reactions and electricity. Key Concept: Redox reactions involve the transfer of electrons. Real-life example: Batteries, electroplating, corrosion prevention. 2. Galvanic (Voltaic) Cells (15 minutes) Composed of two half-cells connected by a salt bridge. Oxidation occurs at the anode, reduction at the cathode. Example: Daniell cell Zn(s) | Zn2+(aq) || Cu2+(aq) | Cu(s) Oxidation: Zn → Zn2+ + 2e− Reduction: Cu2+ + 2e− → Cu 3. Electrolytic Cells (10 minutes) Require an external power source to drive non-spontaneous reactions. Example: Electrolysis of molten NaCl At cathode: Na+ + e− → Na At anode: 2Cl− → Cl2 + 2e- 4. Standard Electrode Potentials (10 minutes) Electrode potential measures the tendency of a species to be reduced. Example: Zn2+/Zn: -0.76 V Cu2+/Cu: +0.34 V Predict electron flow: Electrons flow from Zn to Cu in a Daniell cell. 5. Applications of Electrochemistry (5 minutes) Batteries (Li-ion, lead-acid) Electroplating (silver plating, chromium plating) Corrosion protection (galvanization) Exercise (10 minutes) 1. Short Answer Questions: a. Define electrochemistry. b. Identify the anode and cathode in a zinc-copper galvanic cell. c. Explain the difference between galvanic and electrolytic cells. 2. Calculation: Given: Zn2+/Zn: -0.76 V Cu2+/Cu: +0.34 V Calculate the standard cell potential of a Daniell cell. 3. Application Question: Describe one practical application of electrochemistry in everyday life and explain how it works.

I’ve really enjoyed learning with Clara. She is patient, clear, and encouraging, which makes every lesson both productive and enjoyable. I’ve learned a lot about bowing techniques, and she explains them in a way that feels easy to understand and apply. She also introduces me to new songs that are both fun and challenging, helping me grow step by step. I appreciate her attention to detail and how she always gives practical tips to improve my playing. Ana was very quick to respond to my first message and very friendly. Speaks English well which is great for me! We arranged our first lesson easily, and as a total beginner, she advised me on where I could hire a violin. Our first lesson was great, she was very patient and explained the basics well. Lesson times can be flexible which helps me since I work shifts and cannot commit to the same time each week. I would recommend Ana to anyone wanting to learn violin.

I have been working with Natalia for quite a while now and I can say every class with her is enlightening, fun, and most importantly super helpful. I study Statistics with her, and it is not at all my strong suit, however, Natalia made it possible for me to pass courses that otherwise I would have not been able to pass. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is struggling or would like to improve.
