You play a song excerpt. The group and I provide constructive feedback. You experience a mini individual coaching session (but with the group as an audience and support for objective feedback). Once all the individual coaching sessions are finished, everyone plays their song a second time and we observe everyone's progress :) With the following objectives: - To meet interesting people (other private tutoring students). - To experience a moment together, in a caring and educational environment. - Discovering the stage and learning how to inhabit it in front of an audience (posture, attitude, energy, grounding, self-confidence, etc.) - To work on one's interpretation beyond technique. - To face the gaze of others. - Overcoming shyness and fear of judgment. - To receive feedback from outside sources, other than family or friends, in an educational setting. - Learn from others and be a learning support for others. The idea is that everyone learns from each other during this moment of sharing! Pretty awesome, right?! I hope you will be as excited as I am about doing these Group Workshops! Fundamental Thought: ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING! It's important to know this! The singing voice is part of our human capabilities, it's just not taught in our culture, but EVERYONE can learn! FOR WHOM: This course is for anyone who wants to learn to sing, speak in public, or improve their speaking voice. Children, teenagers, and adults alike, there's no age limit to start learning ;) Whether you are a complete beginner (and wish to develop a healthy and solid foundation) or an intermediate (to continue to evolve and develop your technique) this is the right place for you and I would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey towards the singing voice! Lyric, Baroque and traditional singer gives singing lessons, vocal technique, interpretation, musical culture at home (Paris 8) After studying in Poland (Master of performing arts - opera singing) I came to France to deepen my knowledge of Baroque repertoire, style and period ornamentation. Early music becomes my specialization, however my second passion is contemporary music, however I master the classical and romantic repertoire. My mind is open to all musical styles: I practiced realistic song, singing variety and - with great success - the traditional Slavic song. Since my musical education is established by the theoretical foundations (Bachelor in musicology at the Sorbonne), I would be delighted to share my experiences in this discipline during singing lessons, or to teach them separately. I also teach small piano lessons and music theory lessons for beginners. Classes are conducted in French, but when I am Polish, I could give in Polish or English too. A course can last from 1h up to 1,5h. It's up to you. In exceptional cases I can come to your home, but mainly I give lessons at home (Paris Rome-Batignolles). I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer, currently actively performing in the contemporary field :) On top of my artistic career, which is now 20+ years old, I have 10 years of solid everyday experience in the musical teaching field, with particular regards for online teaching. My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. I love working with kids, and it warms my heart to think of how many little faces I have already had the privilege of meeting thanks to this career. I have helped so many access to the children choirs of their respective cities, and with so many many others I have simply participated in their musical learning journey, which makes me equally proud and happy. Teaching adults is a completely different matter, of course, but it’s probably even more thrilling to me because it allows me to spend the day navigating the fascinating routes of lyrical singing technique. I know how opera studies can be confusing - to say the least; I try my best to represent a safe place for anybody who wants to explore this ancient form of art, as well as to clarify its key points and guide my students to building a correct repertoire.
