Monthly group singing workshop, open to all levels :)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Monthly group singing workshop, open to all levels :)Translate this text using Google Translate.

*///*NEW: MONTHLY GROUP WORKSHOPS*///* What is this ? - A workshop ONCE A MONTH on a weekend (in principle) - In small groups (5 to 8 people) How does it work? A short group warm-up. You play a song excerpt. The group and I provide constructive feedback. You experience a mini individual coaching session (but with the group as an audience and support for objective feedback). Once all the individual coaching sessions are finished, everyone plays their song a second time and we observe everyone's progress :) With the following objectives: - To meet interesting people (other private tutoring students). - To experience a moment together, in a caring and educational environment. - Discovering the stage and learning how to inhabit it in front of an audience (posture, attitude, energy, grounding, self-confidence, etc.) - To work on one's interpretation beyond technique. - To face the gaze of others. - Overcoming shyness and fear of judgment. - To receive feedback from outside sources, other than family or friends, in an educational setting. - Learn from others and be a learning support for others. The idea is that everyone learns from each other during this moment of sharing! Pretty awesome, right?! I hope you will be as excited as I am about doing these Group Workshops! Terms and conditions - One session per month (3 hours) if enough people register. - Between 5 and 8 participants. - No commitment: you can come once on a one-off basis or every time. - Open: you can bring a friend who would like to discover singing, try their hand at performing on stage or test my teaching approach. - Booking required (Place due if cancelled less than 48 hours before the event). Fundamental Thought: ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING! It's important to know this! The singing voice is part of our human capabilities, it's just not taught in our culture, but EVERYONE can learn! FOR WHOM: This course is for anyone who wants to learn to sing, speak in public, or improve their speaking voice. Children, teenagers, and adults alike, there's no age limit to start learning ;) Whether you are a complete beginner (and wish to develop a healthy and solid foundation) or an intermediate (to continue to evolve and develop your technique) this is the right place for you and I would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey towards the singing voice! MINDSET: - First of all, we always work with gentleness, kindness and joy ; ) Singing is a very intimate act, which puts us in a form of vulnerability, so it is essential to work with confidence to feel free to experiment, to make mistakes and to evolve healthily. The goal is to develop technically and artistically, at your own pace, and with joy! - It's important to be kind to yourself: learning vocal technique can take time; it requires patience, perseverance, and confidence to see results ;) POSITIONING: My teaching method is simple: find what works for you, in relation to your goals and what challenges you. I constantly adapt my approach and exercises to the student I have in front of me. We always start from what the body can do (the spoken voice) to take it towards the singing voice. We never work by force or against the body's natural processes: we always strive for a healthy vocal technique, free from tension and pain ;) If you have any questions about the courses, teaching methods, or anything else, feel free to send me a message ;) Looking forward to working together! The art of singing: breathing techniques, ancient music, lyrical, interpretation, theoryTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Lyric, Baroque and traditional singer gives singing lessons, vocal technique, interpretation, musical culture at home (Paris 8) After studying in Poland (Master of performing arts - opera singing) I came to France to deepen my knowledge of Baroque repertoire, style and period ornamentation. Early music becomes my specialization, however my second passion is contemporary music, however I master the classical and romantic repertoire. My mind is open to all musical styles: I practiced realistic song, singing variety and - with great success - the traditional Slavic song. Since my musical education is established by the theoretical foundations (Bachelor in musicology at the Sorbonne), I would be delighted to share my experiences in this discipline during singing lessons, or to teach them separately. I also teach small piano lessons and music theory lessons for beginners. Classes are conducted in French, but when I am Polish, I could give in Polish or English too. A course can last from 1h up to 1,5h. It's up to you. In exceptional cases I can come to your home, but mainly I give lessons at home (Paris Rome-Batignolles). It's a joy for me to be able to introduce myself as a teacher. I think it's a very responsible and fascinating job that can lead to very nice encounters and exchanges between priceless people!

South Indian song and music (Carnatic music)Translate this text using Google Translate.

South Indian song and music (Carnatic music)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Karnatic Song & Music Getting started with Karnatic singing (south Indian music) means discovering a very rich musical world vocally, melodically and rhythmically. What characterizes Emmanuelle's approach is to approach voice work above all else. Whatever the melody, the raga, the composition, there is no point in singing if the voice does not emerge from the right place within oneself. Adopt a correct, grounded, stable and relaxed posture. The voice that sounds fully reflects the dimension of being. What does it really mean to listen? It is becoming aware of the sound space occupied by the tampura*, listening to the swaras (notes), oneself, others in an internal attitude of welcome. Ragas (melodic modes) are like living, dynamic beings, in perpetual change. Discovering a raga is like meeting a new person, little by little their personality is revealed, a dialogue is established. The relationship between the raga, the one who sings it, and also the one who listens to it becomes a living act that continues to evolve. As for the swaras (notes), it is a question of seeking precision and paying attention to their “right place”. Finally, whether it is a vocal exercise, a composition, an improvisation, it is the tala (rhythmic cycle) which gives the essential structure. *Tampura: a plucked string instrument from India that supports the melody of another instrument or singer by providing a continuous harmonic drone. - Text written by Kalpana Métayer

Opera Singing / Kids Vocality: pro Italian Opera Singer with decades of experience on stageTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Opera Singing / Kids Vocality: pro Italian Opera Singer with decades of experience on stageTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer, currently actively performing in the contemporary field :) On top of my artistic career, which is now 20+ years old, I have 10 years of solid everyday experience in the musical teaching field, with particular regards for online teaching. My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. I love working with kids, and it warms my heart to think of how many little faces I have already had the privilege of meeting thanks to this career. I have helped so many access to the children choirs of their respective cities, and with so many many others I have simply participated in their musical learning journey, which makes me equally proud and happy. Teaching adults is a completely different matter, of course, but it’s probably even more thrilling to me because it allows me to spend the day navigating the fascinating routes of lyrical singing technique. I know how opera studies can be confusing - to say the least; I try my best to represent a safe place for anybody who wants to explore this ancient form of art, as well as to clarify its key points and guide my students to building a correct repertoire. I give lessons for any kind of purpose: - learning music - improving musicality - preparing an audition - finding our own voice - overcoming insecurity Everybody is different, so everybody has their own path to go through; I cater my lessons to the pupil’s needs, and even if the method is always classical, I make sure that the hour of lesson is a fun moment as well as a learning experience. Music is life and life is fun! If what you have read interests you, I’m here to answer all your questions, so don’t be afraid: write me and I’ll see how I can help you! During the lesson, we will take the time to get to know each other better, assess levels and goals, and start to work on them already. I can’t wait to meet you!

Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, great versatility as a teacher. She has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Medieval song with imaginative vocal intensity, while discussing in great detail the lyrical content, linguistic nuances, and the historical context of the song, as well as guiding me through the intricacies of the Occitan language with confidence and poise.

I really enjoyed my lesson with Francesca. She has a bright appearance and uplifting energy and teaches very clear, practical and gives a lot of great tips in her lesson. She observes well and is on it. I could really feel the change in my singing, during the lesson. Excited to practice more and to book a new lesson.

Helena is a very helpful teacher, very talented and is able to communicate her ideas very clearly, and makes sure I am understanding and applying well her advise, even over Skype. Her technique is ideal, bright and effortless singing. Much recommended :)
