One of the things I love most about teaching is building a custom learning experience for each student. No matter what your interests are, I will help you improve your flute skills and learn to play the music you love. My lessons range from preparing orchestral excerpts for an audition to transcribing and arranging you favorite video game music for the flute. I also believe that it’s important to share your music with the world, so I’d be more than happy to help you find opportunities to play with other musicians and perform. Hi!

My name is Serena and I’m a professional flutist based in Paris. I’ve been teaching flute lessons for over 5 years and online lessons specifically for the past 3. One of the things I love most about teaching is building a custom learning experience for each student. No matter what your interests are, I will help you improve your flute skills and learn to play the music you love. My method synthesizes the strongest aspects of the French and American schools, and is oriented by an empowering pedagogical format teaching the student auto-listening skills so they can continue to build knowledge and ease on the instrument outside of the studio. The studio also holds two group masterclasses per year. I teach beginners, intermediate students, and do intensive coachings with advanced students who are looking to prepare a program or audition. I do not have a precise methodology, each student is different and requires a different approach, I adapt the lessons to the student and their way of working.

I actually have two intermediate level students and I usually divide the lessons into three parts (to be discussed)
⁃ Warming up
⁃ Piece (of the student's or teacher's choice) with the technical exercises necessary to play it
⁃ Duo if interested or musical training/music theory if necessary

I can also help conservatory students succeed in their flute and music theory exams.
In short, you are welcome in my class, to start, to play duets in pairs or to rehearse before an exam.

I have over 15 years of experience in flute and have dedicated my studies to this instrument. I have extensive teaching experience, with several years of teaching in France. My name is Loris, I'm 22 years old, and I'm a student at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) in the jazz department. I've been playing saxophone since I was 14 and previously studied in Germany, where I'm from. Since I started playing, I've performed in various big bands and solo projects, such as the South German Youth Jazz Orchestra. For my own projects, I've toured throughout Germany, France, and the Netherlands. I also taught for a long time in Germany at a music school, where I had students ranging from 11 to 65 years old, and I thoroughly enjoyed teaching all levels and musical styles!
