It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory. I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs. Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score. Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom. I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training. Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. We booked and experienced a trial lesson at few days ago. She is an experienced teacher with excellent teaching experience. She is willing to communicate and is willing to teach with different level of children. She explores the children's talents and also wiling to set learning goals with the children’s & parents. Great teacher! Very prepared for each lesson and flexible in helping out with specific language problems. He quickly picks up on your level and then adapts his speaking and teaching to match it, while pushing for greater skills all the while in a fun way and with self designed tests and questions. Very eager to really help you along in speaking and understanding Japanese. 10/10 would recommend!
