Because you are looking left and right for information, advice and books to read but you are getting scattered. You constantly watch chess videos on the Internet which are entertaining but it is too passive an activity which does not really make you study chess in depth. Then you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the general principles. In fact, you have developed bad reflexes because you keep repeating the same mistakes without even realizing it, which is why your level quickly stagnates. When you analyze your games, click on the 20th move and you will realize that often your game is already badly engaged. You often manage your time badly, you play too fast when it is important to choose the right voice and you hesitate too long in positions where the moves are obvious. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. Some teachers also offer group lessons with a monthly subscription which can help you progress slightly, but what you need is a truly personalized lesson. After a year of lessons he reached 2380 in 15 minute games! ➤ July 2022, a 30-year-old student decides to take 2 hours of lessons per week, he is then 800 on Chesscom. I booked a daily 90 minutes class for my son Nicolo' (16 years old) for 2 weeks. He was an absolute beginner and usually has a very limited enthusiasm for "extra-classes". Lucia was absolutely fantastic. She made the magic of creating a learning environment that was fun, friendly and effective at the same time. My son Nicolo' was so enthusiastic about the classed to the point that I could not believe it when he asked me to do more classes with Lucia after the 2 weeks. Lucia was good to teach with real life situation and not in an academic way. She was very good in explaining difficult concept in an easy way.
