Trusted teacher: Hi, In an ever-changing world where knowledge and data keep growing we may not neglect real social contact. Since I was a little boy helping others has always been important to me. I would like to contribute to our society by bringing people together. Connecting them is my ambition and I want to work towards this goal. I am a Belgian student in my second year of Civil Engineering (KU Leuven). Recently, I realized this is not the direction I want to go. The courses being too theoretical to me, I was lacking the perspective of human interaction. The latter is the main incentive for my academic reorientation. In September, I will start a degree in Business Engineering. Before I start my new studies, I want to use the upcoming 5 months to share my knowledge and acquire complementary skills. Throughout my childhood, I noticed that my grandparents had some difficulties adapting to new technologies. I helped and still help them with their everyday usage struggles. I would like to expand the people I help by reaching out to all those who need some assistance or explanation using their (smart)phone, computer, tv, camera or any other electronic device. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a special inquiry or would like to know more about me or the fields of assistance I can cover. I’m currently in Belgium where I have acquired experience in giving private support for the past two years. Hoping to meet you soon and start working on enhancing those performances! I'm open to all kind of offers and propositions. Best regards, Arnaud

Trusted teacher: Italian (italiano [itaˈljaːno] (About this soundlisten) or lingua italiana [ˈliŋɡwa itaˈljaːna]) is a Romance language. Italian, together with Sardinian, is by most measures the closest language to Vulgar Latin of the Romance languages. Italian is an official language in Italy, Switzerland, San Marino, Vatican City and western Istria (in Slovenia and Croatia). It formerly had official status and is still widely spoken in Albania, Malta, Monaco, and in some parts of France (especially Corsica, Nice, Savoie), Greece (Ionian Islands and Dodecanese) and Montenegro (Kotor), as well as in former Italian East Africa and Italian North Africa regions where it plays a significant role in various sectors. Italian is also spoken by large expatriate communities in the Americas and Australia. It also has official minority status in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania. Many speakers are native bilinguals of both standardized Italian and other regional languages. Italian is a major European language, being one of the official languages of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and one of the working languages of the Council of Europe. It is the fourth most widely spoken first language in the European Union with 69 million native speakers (13% of the EU population) and it is spoken as a second language by 16 million EU citizens (3%). Including Italian speakers in non-EU European countries (such as Switzerland and Albania) and on other continents, the total number of speakers is around 90 million.Italian is the main working language of the Holy See, serving as the lingua franca (common language) in the Roman Catholic hierarchy as well as the official language of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Italian is known as the language of music because of its use in musical terminology and opera. Its influence is also widespread in the arts and in the luxury goods market. Italian has been reported as the fourth or fifth most frequently taught foreign language in the world.

Trusted teacher: Each class is personalized so that you are getting what you need and want from each lesson. We'll start off by reading something you're interested in. If you love reading books in your native language and would like to expand your passion to include English literature, look no further. If you simply want to better understand the global internet sphere, you're in luck. We'll discuss any unfamiliar vocabulary and the literal meaning of the text. We'll continue to deepen your understanding of the reading. You'll be able to practice your command of English far beyond small talk. If necessary, we will do grammar drills and pronunciation drills. Our goal is to get you having deep discussions about matters of the heart in English so you feel no language limitations at all here in the U.S. We'll practice your conversation skills with critical thinking exercises, personal exploration challenges and writing sessions with editing that seek to engage your mind, heart and soul. We will help you refine your conversation, discussion, and writing abilities so that you are competent in communicating on all fronts. It is our hope that ESL is becomes a medium for even infinite personal growth and expansion. For this reason, each class is 2 hours long. ______ Other Notes: We are conveniently located an 8 minute walk from the Fort Hamilton Parkway Station on the D line, and a 15 minute walk from the Church Avenue Station on the F line.
