Dutch: Hello! I am Patricia, double bass, electric bass and baby bass player from Spain and live in Vlaardingen (Netherlands). I have studied up to Dutch A2 level, so I can have basic conversations and teach Dutch at a basic level. We can also have lessons in English, Spanish or Catalan. I studied the bachelor's degree at the jazz department in Codarts and also the master's degree in Codarts (but in the Latin department). In addition, I took an extra course during my bachelor studies to learn lessons (I have an official certificate). I have a lot of experience playing all over the world with many different bands and orchestras, such as in the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Colombia and Mexico with electric bass, double bass and Baby bass (electric double bass). As a music teacher, I have 4 years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults of different levels. As a bass teacher, I always tailor my lessons to the student from day one, asking about your music preferences and which tunes you want to play. Music theory if you want to improve as a musician, but I also understand that it can be boring, that's why from the first lesson you will learn theory while playing your favorite songs. I will adjust the program for you. I can also give you tips about bass amplifiers, music software, etc., because I also studied sound engineering and worked as a sound engineer for many years. The most important thing for me as a teacher is that you learn and at the same time have fun playing your instrument and improve yourself as a musician! English: Hi! Hi, my name is Jeremy and I've played music for 19 years, having performed over 200 concerts and composed with a wide variety of groups and ensembles across England and Belgium in many genres (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more). I have completed 3 years of intensive bass study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and am currently playing bass plus backing-vocals and song arrangement for Kids of the Elephant and Arrubio. In these lessons, I will help you reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping the lessons structured and tailored to your personal needs. I have 5 years of experience helping students improve as well as specialist knowledge in a multitude of styles. Some examples of what you might learn include: - Correct hand positioning & posture for best performance and faster learning. - Learning your favorite songs quickly and easily. - Breaking down rhythms & dynamics - Understanding the role of bass playing in a band. - Understanding what makes a good bassline and composing your own. - Essential music theory for bass & more advanced techniques (eg: melodic techniques, rhythmic, slap bass, etc) - How to improvise, jam and play with other musicians. Appropriate homework/exercises and recordings are provided during lessons. I also like to give advice and direction for people with musical aspirations. About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes: - Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style) - Bass Guitar (Any modern style) - Music Theory - Solfeggio/ Ear training - Jazz Harmony All these classes can be taught seperately. Nevertheless, during our instrumental lesson we will cover a portion of the material of all the modules.
