Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

If you are one of these people, then you've come to the right place: * Beginners, children or adults * People with poor piano experience or “stuck” players * Parents who want their children to learn music like a language and develop focus and calmness in the process * Music lovers, musicians or fans of certain styles who want to play creatively themselves Then you've come to the right place. I have been a musician since childhood and play the piano. I have been working as a piano teacher for 5 years. I am also an architect and multidisciplinary artist, exploring the connection between sound and visual art. The lessons focus on piano practice, reading music and a better understanding of music – using methods such as Piano Adventures, Alfred and other modern textbooks. After about 5 months, many of my students see a clear difference in their playing, understanding, and self-confidence. ✨ Suitable for children, beginners and anyone who wants to learn piano in a modern and enjoyable way. For me, music is not a theory, but a language that one lives. Music should be learned and treated like a language. Listening, reading (music), writing and playing. The goal is for you to eventually "speak" music naturally, without thinking too much. Feel free to write to me if you want to know more about my teaching or how I teach music like a second language. Other programs (feel free to ask for details at any time – I'll send you all the information): • Program for musical culture and listening comprehension for children and adult artists • Program: Piano lessons and music reading for all age groups • Basic music theory program for beginners and musicians • Program “Sight-reading” (direct reading and playing of music) Karam Berlin, Friedrichshain

Violin and Piano lessons in English, Classical/Gypsy Jazz/Klezmer/Celtic StylesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Violin and Piano lessons in English, Classical/Gypsy Jazz/Klezmer/Celtic StylesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a Violin and Piano teacher from the UK, now living in Bristol, after several years of living abroad. I've been teaching and performing on both instruments for 5 years, during, and after my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. I have taught children from the age of four, up to adults in their late sixties, and I find all spectrums of age and ability rewarding and engaging to work with. Regarding Violin tuition, I am happy to teach up to any level. On the piano, I, however, currently prefer to teach up to an ABRSM grade 8 level, and not far above it. My musical endeavors, whilst focused predominantly on the Classical style in my early childhood, have become quite varied and I am a great lover of many different styles. I play regularly in Klezmer bands, Celtic Folk groups and I run a Gypsy Jazz Collective, besides performing with Orchestra's, Small string ensembles, and as a Solo Violinist. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert, I thoroughly enjoy guiding people through the early stages of learning to improvise, and I am equally comfortable working with students in this way as I am teaching in a more traditional, classically-orientated manner. I look forward to hearing from you! Oscar

Piano Lessons by Ear: Learn Your Favourite Songs & Jazz Improvisation from an Experienced PianistTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Have you always wanted to learn the piano or enhance your songwriting? Whether you’ve never sat down at a keyboard before or you're an experienced player looking for a bit of a push and some friendly accountability, I'm here to help. My lessons are relaxed, and shaped around the music you actually enjoy. We’ll figure out what you want to play and where you want to go musically, then build the practical skills and good habits to get you there. I’ll offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability while helping you become more confident and independent as a musician. Our first lesson is a chance to chat about your experience, interests, and goals. From there, we’ll create a plan that fits where you are now and helps you move toward the music you want to make. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Testimonials: "I've been studying with Dominic for a few years now, and my understanding of jazz harmony has grown massively over that time. He has a great way of adapting lessons to what I'm most curious about, always picking tunes and topics that keep me engaged. On top of that, he's incredibly patient, even when I show up completely unprepared. Lessons with him never feel like a chore, they feel like music." "With Dominic, I’ve really discovered my love for jazz and have gone from almost nothing to a solid level of improvisation. I’m enjoying it a lot!" "I started learning piano with Dominic as an absolute beginner and have not regretted it. Dominic is a very supportive and inspiring teacher! He takes the time to understand my process and interests, and then creatively guides my learning in a very personalised way. I always leave the piano classes with a joyful spring in my step. Dominic has helped me to unlock my creativity and I am really grateful for that!" "It's been such a pleasure to pick up piano at an older age with Dom. He's super knowledgeable, extremely patient, adapts lessons to your interests, encouraging and just really great to learn from. I would - and already do - recommend him to everyone." We can learn any song together. Technique - Exercises, Scales and Chord Voicings We will supplement our work on songs with scales, exercises, and proper technique, to help you build a solid foundation that will make learning new songs or playing with others that much easier. I'll also help you develop a working knowledge of chord voicings that will enrich your playing Harmony & Theory - Develop Musical Understanding We will delve into harmony and music theory as we go. Developing understanding of concepts as they come up in the songs we work on together. Improvisation - Learn to improvise & play by ear Discover the joy of improvisation and unleash your creativity. Lessons will have an emphasis on learning and playing by ear and I'll share some tools and approaches for developing your own improvisational style. Rhythm - Cultivate a strong rhythmic foundation. I'll show you how to improve your rhythm, step-by-step. You can cultivate a solid internal sense of time and groove through exercises that will eventually make rhythmic mastery feel effortless. And more... Lessons are often an organic conversation between the two of us and I'm always happy to explore other topics as they come up...

“ I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I have learned so much from the tools and techniques he’s shared with me, and am grateful to have enjoyed his teaching. ”

“ Working with Victoria is a pleasure! She's very skilled in both music and teaching. She is extremely patient and always makes sure that you finish the class with all your questions answered and goals achieved. She tailors the class towards your needs and always finds a way to explain sometimes complicated concepts. Warmest recommendation! ”

“ Based on a few classes I have had with Mary, I can say she is a knowledgable and passionate teacher, who focuses not only on getting you to develop a playing technique but also on musicality. I feel I am progressing with every lesson. She is a lovely teacher and I would highly recommend her. ”
