Trusted teacher: Hello :) My name is Yaniv, a classical guitarist and guitar teacher with over 10 years of playing experience and 6 years of teaching. In my lessons, I focus on the joy of playing — how to enjoy the music, build control and confidence, and play the music you love. I work with my own books, with pieces and songs I’ve played over the years, and I also teach songs that students love and want to learn. I teach how to figure out songs by ear, understand how to play them, write charts, and more. We can work together on reading notation and tablature, proper technique, playing classical pieces and songs, improvisation, ear training, rhythm, and music theory — all tailored to your level and goals. I taught for many years at a conservatory, as well as privately. Some of my students started learning with me from the very beginning, stayed committed, and today they play at a very high level and perform in various ensembles. This October, I’ll begin an exchange program at the University of the Arts Berlin (UDK), and I’ll likely continue living here. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and a diploma in jazz guitar performance from Rimon School of Music. I understand the path of every musician, because I’ve been through it myself. I started out learning on my own, and only after finding good teachers did I realize how much proper guidance and a teacher’s dedication can make a real difference. That’s why I build a personal and focused study plan for each student, to help them grow in the way that suits them best. I mainly teach classical guitar, but also electric, acoustic, and various styles.

Trusted teacher: Hey there =) Interested in learning piano? Or improving your songwriting or producing? Maybe you are a complete beginner, or maybe you already know a lot and you’d like to expand your skills with some guidance and accountability. I am happy to share what I know with anyone. All ages & skill levels are welcome! Lessons can include: Learning songs & how to practice effectively Understanding harmony and music theory Playing by ear and listening skills Scales, exercises, and proper technique Chord voicings & harmonic wizardry How to improvise and more =) I like to give my students the tools to teach themselves and I believe learning music can be fun and engaging, even when beginning. I'll ask, 'what do you want to be able to do with the piano?' And then I can help you make a plan for how to get there. I have a jazz background and I love to improvise. I have over 10 years of experience playing and performing music, specializing in jazz and improvised music. I studied in New Zealand, earning a Bachelor of Music specializing in jazz piano and composition. I have been teaching piano for over 8 years now, and have been living here in Berlin for 5 years. Location: I offer lessons from a home music studio at my apartment in Plänterwald, Berlin. I can also travel to your location for an extra charge as long as you're not too far away. Language: I generally speak and teach in English, though I can also speak some German to around B1 level. Available times: My teaching hours are between 9am and 7pm, every day of the week except for Sundays. Send me a message and we can organize a time together =)

I've had a few lessons with Sammy so far, and I’m positively surprised by how great the experience has been. Sammy is incredibly patient, attentive to detail, and really takes the time to adjust the lessons to your individual level and pace. I especially appreciate how he gently encourages you to try new things, all while keeping the learning process engaging and intuitive. The lessons are not only productive but also enjoyable — I’m genuinely looking forward to continuing this journey.

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.
