As a student in the Master Musikpädagogik at the Hoschule für Musik in Basel, I teach harp lessons for all levels and all ages. I build my teaching on the basis of the progressive acquisition of instrumental technique and the development of creativity and musicality. I propose a wide repertoire, ranging from classical music to current music, through jazz, folk song and traditional music (Celtic, South America etc ...). For beginners in music, I integrate theoretical points of reading notes, rhythm, musical knowledge, always related to the instrument and the repertoire worked. The pleasure of playing is, in my opinion, an essential element for successful music learning. My name is Clara and I'm a cellist, teacher, and performer in Basel. I'm active in many different genres myself, which is why I can teach a wide variety of things on the cello :) It's important to me to create a learning atmosphere where both student and teacher feel comfortable. It has always been important to me to explore all the possibilities my instrument offers. And to be honest, I'm not finished yet; the cello has so many facets to discover! I've already tried many different styles. I completed my Master's degree in Contemporary Music at the Basel Academy of Music in 2025. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Artistic Pedagogy in Freiburg. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki.
