I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

INTRODUCTION (scroll down for the course description — see below) I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant. I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised. I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me. I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools. I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention. The Visible World is a structured course in drawing, painting and visual perception. Through practical studio exercises and the study of great works of art, you will develop a deeper understanding of form, proportion, light, colour, composition, visual weight and space. Getting started in photography doesn’t have to be challenging. I'll start with digital and analog camera basics and provide a thorough explanation on photography elementary concepts like Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. I will also provide a guide on Color Theory in photography and how to do Narrative photography. If possible, there will be practice classes on the field taking pictures around the city. If the person is interested, I will also teach the basics about analog photography (including how to handle an analog camera, the types of roles that exist and how the developing process works). I will use mainly videos and my own presentations but I can provide a range of additional materials if necessary.

This class is open to everyone who want to do dance and also people who have interests to make your performance and dance as a dance maker. I studied some dance techniques (ballet, post modern dance, hiphop etc.) outside school in Tokyo Japan. And I finished bachelor of Sculpture and master of New Media performance in Tokyo University of the Arts. Now currently working as a freelance artist and doing master of dance in P.A.R.T.S. at Brussels. The content of this class depends on what you want to learn from the class and will be considered to your needs. Basically, we start worm up exercises and do a very short choreography for solo and using those movements we do dance with other people using basic contact movements and also do some improvisations.

My name is Rocio and I'm a Spanish Artist from Madrid giving private art lessons to kids in Brussels (Belgium). I studied Fine Arts and Visual Design in Madrid and graduated in 2020, ever since I have been working as a graphic designer and part-time private art teacher for kids. As an artist, I have a solid basis of materials, composition, shape and color, but I know those aren't essential skills when approaching art for the first time, the most important is the attitude towards it. As kids are always eager to try new materials, my lessons focus in experimenting through painting while having fun in the process, with the idea that painting is a really intuitive skill that everyone and anyone can enjoy. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it.
