Trusted teacher: - As for the lessons. The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises). In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary. - Way of handling. I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way. I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results. - Why am I doing this? Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally. - Experiences? I love nothing more than tutoring my fellow students about the subject matter. This is appreciated by them. Of course I also have experience in tutoring mathematics of both primary and secondary education. - Who am I? My name is Arina and I'm a law student. I'm 26 years old and live and rent a room in Leuven. I'm very approachable, enthusiastic, and open. In my experience, this often helps strengthen my bond with the young person, making them feel comfortable around me. They feel comfortable asking any questions they have. They feel comfortable calling or texting me if they're stuck on an exercise. Even later, when I'm no longer tutoring them, they feel comfortable asking questions if they get stuck. In secondary school itself, I had a less good experience in the first and second year of secondary school in the subject of mathematics. I found it a very interesting subject, but I just couldn't grasp it. Throughout those years, I had the same teacher, who didn't teach me the material in a way that was right for me. After receiving tutoring (forced by my parents), my interest in mathematics grew so much that I studied economics and mathematics for the next few years. My love for mathematics just won't go away... Because I no longer received any mathematics lessons in my further education, I chose to fill this gap by giving private lessons myself.

Trusted teacher: Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary and primary education (also at home). Master Commercial Engineer KUL with a Science-Mathematics-8 and Civil Engineering background. ABOUT THIS LESSON: I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects. I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on. My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting. ABOUT NICK: I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help. Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. In addition, I have a lot of experience with children and didactic teaching techniques from my tennis initiator diploma. Ranging from first to sixth secondary school, from 2 hours to 6 hours of mathematics per week and everything in between, I have guided students of all directions and levels, with a successful outcome every time. I don't give up until I'm sure a student understands the material well enough and I see them making progress. By always appearing enthusiastic, I ensure that together we do not let the drudgery of difficult subjects get any further than the school desks. I am flexible in making appointments and am open to every student. This can be done at a fixed time every week or lesson by lesson. I provide tutoring at your home (I can travel by car), at my home (Kampenhout), in my student room (Leuven) or online. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss the practicalities in more depth. Together we can both make a schedule and work lesson by lesson to achieve your personal academic goals or those of your child.
