At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them. As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I have been teaching photography since 2009. I offer private lessons to photography students and any other individuals who would be interested in 'how to'/technical skills sessions or in developing a photographic body of work and would be in need for some expert advice. Just get in touch with your request as your photography needs might vary from something small to something big and I will be happy to answer and help you. I really recommend Lin for everyone who wants to learn Chinese the proper way. She puts a large focus on the fundamentals such as pronouncing the syllables just as native Chinese would do it. She has an extensive background as a renowned Chinese teacher in Wuhan and knows the ins and outs of the official HSK exams. Her way of teaching is interactive and contains a lot of variety. She is also very flexible. For example, she was open to have video calls in between classes to check up on my progress. Lin is definitely the person to go too if you want to take the challenge of learning madarin!

Great first experience with George! Very friendly and polite. I have had some lessons before, but this is way more personalized and to my liking. We really took the time (almost half of the first session!) to figure out our initial direction, and then we dove straight in. Very knowledgeable on the instrument, he already raised my confidence! Will definitely book again!
