Christina - Kowloon$45
Trusted teacher: About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal may take more than four years to reach. For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

Trusted teacher: Dear parents and students, welcome to my profile! I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. Currently, I am an official singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes are always fully booked. I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. My lessons are mostly in English, but of course I can teach in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese too. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. Some of them even decided to choose music and opera as their future careers. Although I am based in the UK at the moment, I still would love to help students who like to learn opera and classical singing in Hong Kong. Do not worry, I am experienced in giving online classes and you will not feel distant from me. You will enjoy my classes. Yet, I see many more responsibilities being a teacher. Besides sharing knowledge and experience with my students, I am also the person who: - enlightens my students through their journey of music; - my students can rely on and talk to; - influences them to embrace differences and be kind; - makes them aware of their values and proud of themselves. I want to be my students' friend and teach them with a humble and empathetic heart. My students like sharing their stories and ideas with me outside the lessons, sometimes about books, sometimes about philosophy, sometimes about the world, sometimes about the industry, sometimes about anything in life. I always make time for my students. Besides singing, I have been a pianist and piano teacher for 13 years. I was usually the accompanist for my students in their competitions and exams. I am based in the UK at the moment, but I will arrange good accompanists for my students. If I can fly back to Hong Kong when my students take their exams and perform in their competitions, I will accompany them by myself. My qualifications are as follows: The Chinese University of Hong Kong Bachelor of Arts (Music) Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel Master of Music (Classical Singing) Postgraduate in Classical Singing Licentiate Trinity College London Vocal Performance 97/100 Distinction Licentiate Trinity College London Piano Performance 90/100 Distinction DipABRSM Piano ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you want to learn and achieve! Have a super lovely day!:)

Trusted teacher: Hi all, this is Sarang from S.Korea who's been working as a jazz composer, songwriter, pianist, arranger, improviser, and a producer since 2008. And I've been teaching pop/jazz composition, songwriting, piano-accompaniment as a lecturer in 2 universities located in Gyeonggi province since 2020. I've played the piano since the age of 4, so I can say that music is just part of my life. My students have said that I am talented at making difficult topics easy to understand, and for me to see their growth as artists is a great pleasure. In short, I love teaching and teach well. :) Therefore most of my students at the conservatoire evaluate my class higher than 14.0/15.0 at the every end of semester. Through this lesson you will learn about various aspects of music with piano from my experiences, because I’d love widening my musical spectrum and improving my own musical language by exploring different genres of music. (You will see it through my albums linked below.) What you will learn from this lessons are : 1) playing pop music with piano with chord reading 2) playing jazz music with nice voicing & soloing 3) making your own songs with nice chord progression 4) how to read and write rhythms easily 5) how to make a music score using tools like Sibelius or Musescore 6) how to work on Logic (DAW) with midi-related stuffs (on Mac) ... etc. Well, as you know, it just depends on your goal. Whatever you need, just bring your things to the lesson. :) Add to that, if necessary, according to your level; you could have to start learning from the very basics like how the chords are structured and how to make your muscles (especially your hands, fingers and elbows) soft. Looking forward to meeting new students/friends through this platform! * [Attention] I can reject giving lessons after the 1st meeting with you, according to your attitude or in the case I don’t feel safe. Well, just to make it clear. ;) * [About Location] 1) My idea for this music lesson in English is to make the fee lower for you than the ordinary one because of my English level. Well, anyway I am not native. I usually work from home, so if you come to my house for the lesson, the rate will be lower than how much I get from Korean students. But it's only for the case you come to my place where is close to 'Cheonwang (천왕) Station' which is very left side of the subway line no.7. It usually takes 13 mins by walk from the station to my place, and if you get on the bus at the bus stop right in front of the metro exit #3, you will get off only after a bus stop. 2) The other option? Online lessons through Zoom are also doable at the same fee, but to be honest I don't prefer it because many students are not ready for the necessary equipments. 3) In the case I move to the area near you, Hongik University Station(홍대입구) on Wednesday where I pointed at the map, the payment should be 1.5 times. 4) And for the other area, it could be even higher according to the distance..You might know that Seoul is one of the biggest cities in the world, so I believe that you will understand this. Maria
After 4-5 months of learning piano with Maria, I owe her big gratitude. I decided to learn piano as an adult and Maria helped me to overcome my insecurities in music and motivated me to keep trying and practicing. She truly cares about the whole learning experience and uses amazing methods to guide me not only in improving my playing skills, but also my musicality. The piano classes with Maria are always inspiring and challenging, but not overwhelming. In each class, she corrects the techniques and accommodates exercises for practice accordingly. I am really satisfied with her dedication and feedback. I cannot recommend Maria highly enough. In her teaching, she uses the right dose of professionalism, friendliness, patience, and understanding. Her enthusiasm for the music is so contagious. Her lovely and passionate nature and energetic vibes simply make the class an enjoyable learning experience. I cannot wait for the next piano class with Maria. :)

Korean Language Lessons for Beginners (alphabet/vocabulary/grammar/...) (Genk)
Severine
In my head (only there just there) I already know a lot of Korean words. But when I try to talk I can't make 1 sentence out of it. That's why I wanted private lesson. What I really like about Severine is that she is very patient, she keeps up with my pace. Once I understand the material I'd like to move on, Palli Palli! She is a good explainer and because of that I'm feeling more and more confidence to talk (and write) in Korean. I already can Write my name in the sand, but soon I will be able to... Talk to myself for hours.. ..Say things that You WILL understand ;)

Sarang is an amazing and very experienced piano teacher. She helped me immensely with my understanding of how to make my piano playing sound beautiful and interesting to others! She also speaks great English which makes it possible to go through the lessons without any knowledge of Korean.
