Speak English with Confidence — Conversation Practice
From 16 $ /h
In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is on natural discussion centered on books, writing, cinema, and television. We can chat about characters, narrative themes, storylines, or simply discuss the stories that interest you.
We can also read and discuss short book excerpts or script pieces together, depending on your interests. As a writer, I'm especially interested in how language creates emotion, reveals personality, and brings stories to life. Together, we'll explore not only what characters say, but why they say it that way, and how you can use natural expressions to sound more confident in your own English.
Don't worry — you don't need to be a literary critic to enjoy these lessons. We use stories as a starting point for conversation, not as an excuse to overanalyze every page or scene. Whether you enjoy discussing your favourite novel, breaking down an unforgettable movie scene, or simply chatting about fictional worlds, the goal is to create a relaxed environment where English feels alive and enjoyable.
It's all about enjoying the language instead of seeing it as something intimidating. I will correct your mistakes when appropriate, but mistakes are a natural and valuable part of learning. They help us identify what to improve and build lasting confidence.
Every lesson is tailored to your interests, goals, and pace. The aim is to help you build real-world speaking confidence, expand your vocabulary, and enjoy using English in a relaxed, friendly environment.
MULTILINGUAL LISTENING SUPPORT
If you get stuck, you are welcome to use your native language when necessary. I have passive listening and reading comprehension of Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and German, in addition to being a native Serbian speaker.
Our lessons and explanations will primarily be conducted in English or Serbian.
ONLINE LESSONS
Lessons are conducted via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference. We can use screen sharing and digital materials when they are useful for the lesson.

About Me
Hi!
I am an English teacher and writer with an MA in English Language and Literature, a TEFL certification, and more than 10 years of experience teaching English online to students from different backgrounds and levels.
I believe language learning should be practical, engaging, and adapted to the individual student. Whether you want to improve your speaking, expand your vocabulary, work on grammar and pronunciation, become more confident in conversations, or simply get more opportunities to use English, we can focus on what you actually need.
My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and judgment-free. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and don't expect perfection — mistakes are a natural and important part of learning. I adapt the materials, pace, and activities to your level, goals, and interests rather than following a rigid one-size-fits-all approach.
I am also a writer and a huge enthusiast of books, films, television, and storytelling, so these are some of my favourite topics to bring into lessons. However, we can talk about anything that interests you, from everyday life and travel to work, culture, current topics, or your own hobbies.
Whether you are learning English for work, travel, university, personal development, or simply because you want to feel more comfortable using the language, I would be happy to help you make English a more natural part of your everyday life.

Education
MA in English Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy. My advanced university training focused on English philology, structural text analysis, narrative theory and high-level cross-cultural translation mechanics. A core component of my academic qualifications included comprehensive, specialized coursework in American, British, Canadian and Australian literary and cultural studies.
Experience / Qualifications
As a native Serbian speaker with a Master’s degree in English and a TEFL certification, I have over ten years of experience working online as an independent freelance language instructor and creative copywriter (2014 - Present). During my decade of working with digital platforms, creative writers, and adult learners from all over the world, I have specialized in content localization, text styling, and natural language acquisition. My extensive background in analyzing written copy and full-length manuscripts allows me to break down English dialogue, idioms, and subtext seamlessly.
I use this real-world professional experience to help you sound completely natural in English, using the movies and stories you love to make learning both highly effective and engaging.

Want to learn Serbian in a relaxed and practical way?
I am a native Serbian speaker and an English teacher with an MA in English Language and Literature. In these lessons, we'll focus on helping you actually use Serbian in real conversations rather than simply memorizing isolated words and grammar rules.
Depending on your level and goals, we can work on:
• Everyday Serbian and useful expressions
• Conversation and speaking confidence
• Vocabulary and pronunciation
• Serbian grammar explained clearly and practically
• Serbian culture, customs, music, films, and everyday life
• Serbian for travel, relationships, family, or personal interest
The lessons can be adapted to complete beginners as well as learners who already know some Serbian and want more opportunities to practise.
If you're interested in Serbian language and culture, want to communicate with Serbian-speaking friends or family, are planning to visit Serbia, or simply want to learn a new language, we'll build the lessons around your goals and interests.
My approach is relaxed, friendly, and judgment-free. You don't need to be afraid of making mistakes — speaking and experimenting with the language is how you improve.
Let's make Serbian something you can actually use, not just something you study.
