Hi, I am Desi, violin teacher with more than 10 years experience. At the moment I live in Spain – Madrid but I was born and grew up in Bulgaria – Sofia where I obtained the basis of my musical education. After my graduation with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the National Academy of Music Pancho Vladigerov – Sofia and the New Bulgarian University- Sofia, I left for a three-year specialization in the International Institute of Chamber Music to the prestigious Academy for Music Escuela Superior de Music Reina Sofia - Madrid, with specialty string quartet in the class of the prominent musician and pedagogue Gunter Pichler (founder and first Violinist of Alban Berg Quartet). I hab been part of many international masterclasses and festivals, like Academia Cigiana- Italy, Schubertiade., Swarzenberg-Austria, Semmering- summer camp Austtia and t.c
I have been dealing also with lecturer’s activity and have been a part of the tem of “Sonata”, a school which trains pupils for ABRSM Sistem examination and I am acquainted with this system.

For me teaching and contacts with children are of essential significance. This is a very responsible and enriching process. Each child is different and trying to provoke him/her and find the individual approach to him/her, I also learn. This is a mutually giving process. My priorities as a pedagogue are to train technically and musically my students through love and discipline.
Music is an exceptional form of communication, playing an instrument is a very delicate process enriching everyone who deals with it professionally or not.
I do believe that art is one of the most significant processes in the development of the individual developing one’s fantasy, coordination and attitude to the world.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts.

Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes.

During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.
