Doy clases para todos los niveles, desde niños empezando desde cero hasta alumnos que quieren preparar certificaciones en los Conservatorios, pasando por amateurs o simplemente curiosos de cualquier edad.

Creo firmemente en la importancia de saber leer música y esto es exactamente lo que enseño primero, obviamente adaptando el método a la edad de mis alumnos: saber leer música es conocer un lenguaje más, que, si se aprende bien, no se olvida nunca (¡como montar en bicicleta!) y es una riqueza inestimable. Partiendo de ahí enseño la posición de la mano, del brazo y de todo el cuerpo al piano, los fundamentos de la técnica pianística (dando mucha importancia al movimiento percusivo del dedo y a la distribución del peso), la comprensión del lenguaje musical, la expresión de la personalidad a través del teclado, la búsqueda del toque y el conocimiento del repertorio pianístico.

Soy un pianista y compositor español (MMus se graduó en Codarts Rotterdam en ambas direcciones) con muchos años de experiencia docente y también muy activo interpretando en diversos contextos.

Doy clases particulares de piano para todos los niveles y estilos (clásico, jazz, latín, new age, pop...), así como clases de solfeo, composición e improvisación. Mis lecciones se distinguen por su dinámica, enfoque práctico y adaptación a las necesidades e intereses del alumno.

Las lecciones (en vivo o en línea) se llevan a cabo en mi estudio al lado del Maastunnel, donde tengo un piano de escenario premium y una configuración de cámara web de alta calidad.

Ik behaalde een diploma in graad 8 muziektheorie en ook graad 8 piano bij de Royal Schools of Music. Daarbovenop heb ik ook een diploma in audio-engineering van het Hofa college. Ik ben zelf actief als muziekartiest en producer. Dankzij die combinatie van klassieke scholing en praktijkervaring weet ik hoe belangrijk het is om theorie begrijpelijk, concreet en muzikaal te maken. Ik gebruik mijn eigen piano tijdens de lessen om alles visueel en auditief te verduidelijken.

I can teach you basic and advanced concepts of any style on the piano (classical, jazz, pop-rock...), and if you like improvisation and jazz then we get along even better!

About my philosophy in teaching music:
In a creative field like music, education is a delicate matter. I firmly believe that a teacher must do everything possible to avoid suppressing the student’s personal voice. Each of us — regardless of age or skill level — has a unique approach to music, even before touching the instrument!
My goal is to help students discover their own musical identity at the piano, drawing on my experience and offering a solid theoretical foundation tailored to their interests and level.

This course is designed to build skills in either playing the cello, music theory, ear training, or all three! If you are seeking to learn cello this course is a great place to start. I am most familiar with the suzuki books, however I am dedicated to making cello and music as widely available as I can, so if access to sheet music is a challenge I am open to pursuing alternate lesson plans.
If you are a current music student who isn't seeking to learn cello but would like support in Music Theory or Aural Skills (also often referred to as Ear Training), I am more than happy to provide tutoring in those subjects.
