Trusted teacher: I am a graduate of Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with 10 years of experience as a music tutor and as a performing musician. I am an enthusiastic classical guitar, lute, composition and music theory tutor offering encouraging tuition to all ages and abilities. In my guitar lessons we would begin with working on posture and technique; with careful regard for handling the instrument correctly, and how to make a well-rounded sound. The majority of the lesson would focus on the piece(s) of music that you are learning, with a view to improving your sound, technique and musical expression over a long term period. I will also offer practice plans to guide your practice between lessons. Should you wish to pursue an academic musical path, this tuition includes guidance with preparation for your classical guitar or music theory examinations, where we would also work on developing your musicianship through aural training. You may also request lessons in composition, harmony, figured bass and composing a melody. For students who do not wish to pursue an academic path through playing guitar, lute, composing music, or understanding music theory, my lessons can be suited to your individual ambitions while still aiming for the highest possible standard of musicianship and enjoyment. Should you wish to study acoustic or electric guitar I can provide tuition in these areas of guitar music. If you are a singer or instrumentalist who is interested in guitar or lute accompaniment for your performance exam, workshop or masterclass, I offer basso continuo accompaniment on the lute for music from the baroque era. I can also provide accompaniment on the guitar for classical, romantic and modern repertoire. I am happy to teach one individual or a group of students at one time, and I teach from home in a living space ideal for lessons and workshops. My VOG certificate is available upon request. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Trusted teacher: Hello (future) musician! Do you also have a song in your head that you would like to play? Always wanted to play electric or acoustic guitar or bass guitar? Have you never touched a string, or are you advanced and looking for new challenges? I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory. It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play. These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Lessons in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht or at extra cost at home. If you have questions, mail or call!

Trusted teacher: Basles in Rotterdam Inspiring bass guitar lessons and double bass lessons Learn to play music smoothly and well with your bass, at your time, level and style of choice. Learn about relaxing bass, understanding chords, playing and making oneself, easy learning to read notes and rhythms, using scales in your improvisations. Practicing is at your level and music style of choice: Jazz - pop - blues - world music - classical ironing and others Here are some reviews of some students Bob Horváth Meanwhile, Luc has been teaching at Luc in Rotterdam for about three-quarters of a year, both on the double bass and on the bass guitar. My experience with Luc is very positive. It fits seamlessly with the level where you are a musician and offers the right challenges at that level. The lessons are always interactive and never rigid. I have been making music for years, but at a certain point I came to a level where I seemed to be running into a sort of ceiling. I did not get better. Now I am effectively working to demolish that ceiling with the help [of Luc! Very inspiring learning environment! " D. Van Lammeren "I've been playing oboe for years at a high amateur level, and started on the double bass a few years ago, with a lesson from Luc, I really want to learn it, and that's fine with Luc. I wanted classic ironing and pizzing, but also playing in a band. Luc is at home from all markets, he excels in different styles. Moreover, he understands how difficult it is when you just start, and can well transfer how you can master it. In addition, he can tell enthusiastically about the world of the double bass and the bass player, which was completely new to me. Luc always knows how to hook up with what I need in my orchestras and band, and at the same time to build step by step. So I have a lot of lessons, and it remains challenging and especially fun. "

Piano lessons, Music Theory for children and adults (The Hague)
João
I have been taking private lessons from Joao for more than 6 months and I am completely thrilled with it! Although I am a beginner in piano, I can see that Joao is very knowledgeable in his field. What I like most is that he utilizes technology very effectively to help me understand tricky theoretical concepts. He also prepares tailored exercises for me, which makes me feel very valued. He really puts his time in preparing homeworks and supplementary documents even before and after the class to be sure that I understand what he is teaching. Joao is also quite responsive. He is very flexible in terms of the course content and willing to adapt to my changing needs over time. Still, as a teacher, he keeps in mind what foundations I need to build and he does not lose track of what I want as an ultimate goal, so he comes with a structured curriculum that I realize over time. I can only recommend Joao if you are looking for a dedicated piano teacher who loves what he does.

Piano (Classical, Jazz, Pop), Harmony, Ear Training (Amsterdam)
Emanuele
Emanuele is a wonderful teacher. He's very friendly and accessible, not the "intimidating expert" type at all. He's very open and flexible in meeting students at the level they are, with no judgement at all, but with genuine interest and care, instead. He's very knowledgeable but also keeps the lesson light and fun. He's supportive and actively tries to help you improve, exploring your individual strengths and weaknesses with you, instead of sticking to any pre-conceived ideas. His comments never feel like he's correcting you, they always feel supportive. You can feel he loves what he's doing, and love and joy for piano-playing is the feeling you leave with after a lesson. Highly recommended.

French Horn (modern / historical) and Music Theory with professional (The Hague)
Nicolas
Nicolas has a friendly approach in his horn teaching backed by his high professional standard with very good ears. His feedback is to the point and focused on building up in small steps for long term improvements. His lesson on resuming practice after a break was very useful, which I’m sure will benefit me repeatedly in future. He also very kindly helped me look for a mouthpiece and instrument, which again was very useful. If/when face to face becomes possible, I’d love to get lessons on historical horn from him!
