About Me
After my classical studies at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and Jazz / Pop & World Music studies at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (NL), I am currently active as a professional drummer and composer in the international Jazz and World Music scene. In 2009 I received the "Erasmus Jazz Prize" in Rotterdam (NL). Some of my regular bands are Lura (Cap Verdian Singer), Liberty Group (Dutch Jazz quartet of trumpeter Teus Nobel), Anabela Aya (Angolan singer), Munir Hossn (Brazilian multi-instrumentalist), Modji, etc...

Besides styles like pop, rock etc. I specialize in jazz music, Latin American styles like Brazilian, Afro-Brazilian, Cuban genres), African styles, funk, fusion, Cap Verdian music.
