Joseph Moruzzi is a saxophonist originally from the United States and is currently residing in the Netherlands. The main focus of Joseph’s work as a musician is on classical and contemporary repertoire, which includes transcriptions of forgotten works, theatrical music, and new compositions written for the saxophone. Joseph has earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York as well as a Master of Music degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

As a teacher, I enjoy going through fundamentals when teaching the saxophone, whether that is technique, posture, or musicality. I make sure students are learning technique while playing pieces that they are interested in themselves, having a balance in the lessons. I also enjoy teaching various etudes or repertoire for the saxophone, giving the student a deeper understanding of the saxophone's history and versatility.

I am open to teaching in-person, but if virtual lessons are more convenient then thats is also possible. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

I am originally from the United States and initially came to the Netherlands for study. Now I am working as a musician and educator and looking forward to having new students!

My teaching style consists of working on fundamentals and repertoire while also focusing on what the student is interested in. I like to focus on making sure technique and posture is good while also maintaining a good sound. I can teach classical and contemporary music, but also open to jazz and pop music styles! I can teach all the main saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone) and can even coach any small saxophone ensembles. I am a native English speaker, but I am working up to a B1 level in Dutch!

Looking for a piano teacher? In Utrecht you will find the friendly Spanish professional pianist Mar. She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well)
She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. For young, teenagers and adults, all levels, no previous experience necessary.

I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both teaching individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won prizes in competitions and several scholarships prizes.

The past twenty years have been revolutionary for music production. Nowadays you can record, produce and release your own music with your laptop and some simple peripherals. This is done with a music program called a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) in which you can edit sound. But as everyone has noticed who starts such a program: it's not easy! Hundreds of buttons and menus and a specific workflow ensure that you do not just get the sound you want. I use and teach two of the most widely used DAWs: Ableton Live and Studio One, which take us through all the steps from recording sound, using samples to editing and mixing. Due to my studies at the Rock Academy and the Musicology department of the UU and my more than ten years of experience as a professional guitarist, bassist and music producer, I have extensive knowledge of all aspects of the professional field.

I offer a holistic, well-rounded music education for all ages and abilities. The training I provide is tailored towards the students personal learning objectives and goals, some of these include solo performance, improvisation, playing in an ensemble and composition.

My approach combines conventional and alternative teaching methods, such as reading music, playing by ear, solfeggio, the suzuki method and mindfulness. The three aspects I prioritize in my lessons are imagination, experimentation and creativity.

My method focuses on understanding and expanding the students' musical capacities by means of an integrative approach that includes physical training, technique and comprehension.

My flute lessons are available in a flexible time frame from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with a frequency of weekly or biweekly, depending on your preference. As a graduated flutist with a bachelor and master degree from the conservatory, where teaching was an important part of my education, I have experience with both group lessons and individual lessons. My method is focused on enthusiasm for music and flute playing, where I welcome every student, regardless of background, language or level. Everyone is welcome to start their musical journey with me!
