I am a Math and Physics tutor specializing in school students of all ages. I primarily assist graduate students in SAT, IB, and A-level Math and Physics. In my classes, I focus on providing personalized attention, with only one student per session. I strongly believe that every student requires a unique approach. To effectively teach someone, it is essential to understand how their mind works and then determine the most effective and convenient method for their individual needs. Teaching is one of my hobbies, and I offer my knowledge and skills to help students succeed. I tutor various subjects at secondary level, including mathematics, physics, biology, Dutch, English and economics. For years I have been teaching tutor in different subjects to students of all ages. I am currently studying linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. At the VWO I followed a nature & technology profile, which means that I also know everything about mathematics and physics as those subjects are taught at a secondary level.

I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. I like to keep parents as involved as possible and provide progress meetings outside of lessons. I have taught English to adults at a linguistics company for a year and have some experience teaching adults too. Having obtained the International Option Baccalaureate (OIB) in Scientific Mathematics specialty with honors this year, I am bilingual in French and English, and I have a level of Terminale S in maths. My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. I graduated with the highest marks in the class, due not only to my study and hard work, but also my exam technique. Therefore, in our lessons we will not only discuss the topics of the subject but also the exams associated with the subject. Being comfortable with the layout of the exam and the types of questions asked/language used is of huge benefit to our confidence, and therefore performance, in the exam. To that extent, I offer to travel to a location of the students choosing for the lessons; the idea being that the student should feel more comfortable/confident in familiar surroundings and that a relaxed mind is conducive to learning.
