Piano lessons for young and old! Everyone is welcome with their own talents, and I try to get the best out of every student. Fun and quality can go hand in hand, and that is what I always try to achieve as a piano teacher. Classes are offered privately, so the time and regularity of the classes can be flexible for adults who have busy lives, but still want to learn to play the piano.
Even if you cannot read any notes yet, you are welcome!

Extra information

Having a piano at home is necessary to practice. A digital piano can certainly be practiced, an acoustic piano is of course preferred, but is not a necessity. Please note, a keyboard or synthesizer is not enough, the keyboard of a piano (also of a digital piano) is different from that of a keyboard. I am always willing to help my students in the search for a piano (second hand can certainly be found there too).

About Me

Ik studeerde in 2006 af als Master in de Muziek optie Piano aan het Lemmensinstituut te Leuven. Hiernaast behaalde ik ook in 2006 mijn Initiële lerarenopleiding van academisch niveau 2 aan hetzelfde instituut. Na mijn opleiding in de klassieke muziek ben ik mij vocaal gaan verdiepen in andere muziekgenres waaronder pop, jazz en Franse Chansons.
In het verleden gaf ik les aan verschillende muziekacademies en jeugdmuziekscholen, zowel piano als notenleer. Sinds begin 2019 ben ik zelfstandige en geef ik enkel nog privélessen.
Pianoles geven is mijn passie. Ik doe dit met hart en ziel, en deze gedrevenheid tracht ik door te geven aan mijn leerlingen zodanig dat muziek ook voor hen een passie doorheen hun leven kan worden.

In addition to piano and singing lessons, I also offer music lessons. These lessons are individual and of course go much broader than just learning to read the music script. In addition to reading, we are also working on ear training, intonation and sight reading, harmony, ... music theory as a whole!

It is also possible to take these lessons as a tutor, so supplement your lessons at the music academy. As a teacher I mainly focus on what you need as a student to succeed at the music academy.

The lessons can be taken individually or in group for those who wish.

In the lessons, we will be focusing on setting or developing all the required skills for the students to be able to perform independently, understand the musical language, and explore their own sound. Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. I have garnered the patience and belief in the idea that anyone can become a part of the music world with the proper amount of attention and guidance.

You're in good hands! As a professional cellist for 14 years now, including as a member of major European and Australian opera and philharmonic orchestras, I welcome all students, from those picking up the instrument for the first time to those preparing for professional auditions.

My primary aim in teaching is to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect in which students can draw motivation to set and accomplish their goals, with my full commitment towards helping them achieve those. Getting the foundations of good playing and good musicianship right is of course a very close and no less important second!

My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music.

As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals.

In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances.
