YunaPiano, Music theory lessons in English for all ages and levels.
I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic piano teacher from South Korea with over a decade of experience working with students from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages.
After graduating from a university in Seoul in South Korea with a B.A. in classical piano, I moved to New York to teach piano for one and half years. I continued teaching piano to foreign students in English after coming back to South Korea until I left to Germany last summer.
Since September 2017, I have been working as a piano teacher at this beautiful music school in Berlin. I am teaching piano to 18 students using English and a decent amount of German.
I create professional, tailored and individual lesson plans for a diverse range of various students. In lessons, I engage actively with students and focuse on improving posture, developing practice strategies (i.e. utilizing various rhythm patterns on difficult, technical passages), and setting regular practice times, while also building a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
I am a strong interpersonal communicator and I am passionate about helping my students grow and realize their full potential. I teach with love, patience, and encouragement, and I have a strong flexibility to adapt to novel circumstances.
I give piano lessons at a music school in Reinickendorf in Berlin and I also occasionally offer piano lessons in student's own home in Berlin.

MarkJazz or classical piano lessons from a native English speaker
Teaching is something I really enjoy. To impart knowledge to a student requires a level of understanding deeper than that of an ordinary performer, and I enjoy the challenge of expressing ideas in a personal way that is relevant to the student. To watch someone's love of music grow as a result of playing the piano is a rewarding experience, and something I always put a strong focus on. If you can learn to have fun at the piano and nurture your love of music it becomes something truly life-affirming.
I teach at the Piano Center close to Friedrichstraße, on high quality grand and upright pianos. Please enquire for details.
