I’m Elisa, I’m an Italian pianist and I live in Basel.
I started my piano studies when I was a child and my repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music.
I have won more than 20 first prizes, performing in important halls in Italy and abroad. I love to share my passion for music, for that reason I organized many concert-lectures and I started to give piano lessons five years ago.

In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me.
I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.

Stylistically, the focus is on blues, rock, folk pop and world music, with strong references and influences from classical music, hip hop, electronic music and jazz.

Course for beginners and advanced students

My course focuses on the personal realtion between the individual, the chosen instruments and the music itself. This includes musical expression, improvisation, songwriting, songwriting, interpretation as well as music theory and specific aspects of the instrument.

My musical background lies between blues, folk, rock, pop and world music with influences from classical, as well as electronic music, hip hop and jazz.

My name is Sebastián, Argentine trumpeter, trombonist and composer based in Basel.

Since I was 18 years old I am working as a professional musician. I have worked in many educational institutions, such as EMC (School of Contemporary Music) Berklee International Network as Professor of Trumpet, jazz ensemble, and musical notation, in “Orquesta Juvenil del Sur,” an orchestra for underprivileged children, as a trumpet teacher at St Andrew's Scots School and as a private teacher.

Apart from my teaching experience I was selected to participate in the renowned Focusyear Basel program along with seven international musicians at Jazzcampus Basel during 2020/2021 and after the end of the program I decided to start a master in composition in the same institution. Already the first year I had the honor of being chosen to arrange music for the wind ensemble of the prestigious MIT University (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and also to write original music for the Jazzcampus Big Band. I graduated from the Jazz career of the Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I received an Honorable Mention from the National Endowment for the Arts from Argentina in Unpublished music in the Jazz category and I also released my first album released by the Chicago label, United States Ears & Eyes Records. In 2019 I was chosen as revelation musician by the Argentine media "El Intruso". I am also working as a producer recording in my home studio.

I have been teaching children and adults of all skill levels privately for over 10 years and have experience teaching at Boston University and the New England Conservatory. I serve as a substitute for the Musikschule Riehen and Musikschule Basel. I offer 30/45/60 minute lessons and I am happy to teach you in your home. My main area of expertise is classical music but I have experience as a Jazz teach and player. I did my piano studies in Chicago, Boston, and Basel. I immediately start with practical work with my students and my aim is to enable them to develop a form of creative independence during the early lessons. I cater to all needs and my classes are for children, adults, beginners, or experienced learners.

The lessons take place at my studio in Aarau.

Some lessons can also be done in my recording studio in Lausanne (my upcoming recording studio will be built soon in Aarau) The benefit of giving lessons in a recording studio is the opportunity for my student to leave the lesson with a professional recording of their pieces, allowing for effective self-assessment of their work.

Whether you're struggling with the basics, or want to take what you already know to the next level, I'll adapt our lessons to your needs and guide you through what you need to make it.

Trained in Classical and Early music, and having studied performance in harpsichord, organ, piano, classical and electric guitar, I've also studied chamber music composition and electroacoustic composition. A passionate learner myself, I have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). These diverse experiences are necessarily integrated into what I teach and how.

In my theory classes we’ll look at the fundamentals of rhythm, pitch, solfège, intervals, key signatures, cadences, and other important groundwork whose rigorous study we can then apply to real-life examples of music, helping you acquire a sharper analytical ear.

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level.
