Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started studying classical flute when I was just six years old and discovered my love for singing at eight. Since then, my journey as a musician has taken me through many different styles and experiences, eventually leading me to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies. Now, as a freelance musician based in Amsterdam, I’m working on the release of my debut single—an exciting new chapter in my musical path!

As a teacher, I believe that every student is unique, and I tailor my lessons to what excites and inspires you. Whether it’s vocal technique, stage presence, songwriting, harmony, or even beginner piano, I’m here to help you grow in the way that feels most meaningful to you. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my students gain confidence, celebrate small wins, and experience those magical breakthrough moments.

I primarily teach in English, but I can also offer lessons in Dutch at a basic level (A2). If you’re comfortable with a mix of both languages, I’d be happy to adapt!

Adrian (1997) is an Amsterdam-based guitarist from Caracas, Venezuela that is part of the up-coming generation of the Dutch Jazz scene. Winner of the Erasmus Jazz Prize 2019, Adrian has performed at top festivals such as North Sea Jazz Fest, North Sea Round Town and Grachtenfestival, and has also shared the stage with established and emerging musicians such as Benjamin Herman, Stefan Lievestro and Alessandro Fongaro.

Adrian (1997) started classical guitar lessons at age 11 but quickly switched to electric guitar because of his passion for rock music. At age 14, he was admitted to the TJC Music School in his hometown, Caracas, where he studied jazz guitar, graduating with honours at age 17. While living in Venezuela, Adrian started playing professionally at 16 years old, being called a “young promise”. In 2017, Adrian moved to The Netherlands to study at Codarts University of the Arts, later transferring to Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2019 to study with Jesse van Ruller, Reinier Baas, Martijn van Iterson, Maarten van der Grinten, and many more. Adrian is currently living in Amsterdam.

I have a background of 7 years of classical piano and I also have been studing and playing Jazz (drums) for the past 8 years of my life (currently finishing my studies in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

My goal is to teach people with no experience in music or drums and want to learn the basics of music theory, solfège and drums but also to more experienced students who want to improve their technique, coordination, sound, groove, etc.

I can also teach different musical genres on the drums, depending on the taste of the student

Hey there! In my lessons, what you want is the most important. That's why we create together a plan of study with ideas, goals and subjects to reach out our dream to make music (that's also my dream)

Nevertheless, I can give you an overview of the content:

I divide the music theory in two: Technical and Musical.
Technical Theory regarding all the concepts and information related to music, and Musical Theory regarding the ideas and concepts to help us understand and improve the performance of music. Besides that, we look to harmony in a functional, rhythmical and organic way. We learn and approach music from the first lesson, looking at it from different angles (understanding rhythm and essence of a song for example). All this plus a nice diet of assignments and exercises: D

Furthermore, we put especial attention to enjoying music. That means playing but also listening music! For me, that's one of the best ways to learn :)

And of course, we learn as well by making mistakes, so at the end it's all about fun and trying things out;)

Lessons of music in all different ways through the brass instruments, mainly trumpet, with a teacher who gained his master degree in "Real Conservatorio Superior de música de Madrid" on classical music, and currently studying Jazz and modern music at "Conservatorium van Amsterdam" . Had collaborated with Jazz Concertgebouw Orchestra, Metropole Orkest, Bob Sands Big Band, Tina Turner the musical, and New Cool Collective between many more, and had lessons with teachers and artists such as Erik Veldkamp, Bob Sands, Bob Mintzer, Paul Ferguson, Enrique Rioja , Manuel Blanco, Gavor Tarkovi, and Alex Sipiagin, among many others.

Did you ever hear a tune and you felt like you wanted to just play over it? Did you ever feel like you’d like to discover what makes a tune that special? I can help you to understand how music works and what makes it such an incredible art form!
Listening to what you want and need, I can make a tailored plan with you on what you’d like to learn and get you going in the instrument and in your theory. Whether you’re a complete beginner of picking back the trumpet we can work together and make this journey as fun as possible.

I teach Trumpet in the multiple styles that you might have come across - being jazz, salsa, disco, pop or funk. In case you’d like to learn more about how to improvise on the trumpet we can also tackle that and get you going, all while having fun! I teach all ages and from absolute beginner to Intermediate players.

I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and I’m also taking my steps into learning Dutch, even though music is such a universal language. I live in Amsterdam and you can learn at my studio in NDSM, or I can come and meet where you are! It is also possible to arrange lessons in the center of Amsterdam, close to Centraal Station.

About me? I’m Luso-american musician who moved to Amsterdam to study jazz trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I’m currently finishing my bachelor degree. I started playing the trumpet when I was 9 years old, and since then my passion for music just kept on growing bigger. My main focus as a jazz musician was big band playing, where I’m specialised in lead trumpet playing, however I kept myself open to different styles being part of Afrobeat bands, playing in small formations, such as trios or just playing some groovin’ music from Earth Wind & Fire or Kool & The Gang.

My approach to singing lessons is based on developing and improving the voice in a technical and expressive way, while enjoying the learning process.

1. Body Awareness:
We begin by working on posture, breathing, and relaxation to prepare the body as a vocal instrument. By becoming more aware of our body, we'll become more conscious of how we use our voice, and our singing will be more natural and fluid.

2. Vocal Warm-up:
We perform specific exercises to activate the voice, including scales, arpeggios, and resonance techniques. These exercises help improve vocal range, intonation, and projection.

3. Repertoire Work:

My name is Ignacio Pintó and I am a Spanish bass player living in Amsterdam. I moved to this lovely city four years ago to study the Jazz Double Bass Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

I am in love with music, my main occupation right now is working in projects that excite me deeply, trying to bring new sounds to the world through composition and improvisation.

I love sharing this excitement and knowledge with people. That's the reason why I have developed a flexible system to organise music development, based on my recent experience. In the lessons we will focus on the music you love and find ways to develop the skills it requires in a methodic way, always having fun in the process. We will also playfully explore creativity and improvisation, my ultimate goal is finding your voice as a musician and helping you develop it!

Although double bass is my main instrument now, my first steps as a musician were given with bass guitar. I also have experience teaching that instrument and I feel equally capable of helping you develop those skills.

You can expect an personalised program, with prepared lessons based essentially in your musical interests and goals, potentially covering these topics among others: double bass technique, bowing, electric bass technique, jazz repertoire, ear training, music theory, improv techniques, rhythm, composition, basic production skills, basic piano skills.
